Adele Logan O

Dr. Adele Logan O'Keefe offers more than 25 years of experience in counseling, therapeutic education, and counselor education and supervision. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Randolph-Macon Woman's College, including studies in England at Reading University and Oxford University. In 2009, she earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision from The College of William and Mary. Dr. O'Keefe is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is a registered supervisor in Virginia. She is trained in yoga instruction (YTT 200), resilience building, and calming strategies and has helped clients in managing stress, anxiety, and trauma response in residential treatment settings, therapeutic boarding schools, medical school and graduate resident programs, and private practice.

Allison O'Grady

Job Titles:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Allison is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive clinical experience over the last 25 years, including addiction treatment, community mental health, emergency services, and group and private practice. She has been in private practice since 2011. She has experience with assessment, crisis intervention, cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral (DBT) therapies, trauma and PTSD, mindfulness, and relationship counseling. She provides integrative therapies to help clients with issues of grief, stress, trauma, anger, anxiety, and depression. She has experience and special interest in working with active military, veterans, and first responders. Allison enjoys working with employees from all disciplines, nationalities, diverse backgrounds, and abilities. Allison is an ally to the BIPOC and LGBTQ +communities.

Anna C. DeLong

Anna DeLong has been employed at UVA in various roles for 23 years and also has 10 years experience in private practice. Anna is currently a Consultant with the Faculty and Employee Assistance Program. In this role she provides individual counseling, couples sessions, debriefings, as well as webinars and classes on various topics related to neuroscience and wellbeing. Anna has received extensive training in Mindfulness, Insight Dialogue, Interpersonal presence, Compassion Cultivation, and the Mind Body connection. Anna is passionate about sharing research-based, data-driven well-being tools in ways that are applicable to every day life with a goal of promoting the well-being of others.

Beth Danehy

Ms. Danehy, joined FEAP in August 2019, coming from the University of Rochester where she was the Director the Employee Assistance Program and an Assistant in Psychiatry. Ms. Danehy is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and has completed Mastery Training for Coaches from the Arbinger Institute. Prior to becoming an Employee Assistance professional, Ms. Danehy was an Advanced Practitioner Mediator in private practice. Ms. Danehy has extensive experience in bio/psycho/social assessment, worksite and manager consultations, conflict and communication coaching, and mediation and couples therapy. Member Employee Assistance Professionals Association, International Association of Employee Assistance Professionals in Education, and American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.

Cynthia Betts

Cynthia Betts is an experienced consultant and mental health provider with vast experience in supporting advanced professionals, families and individuals impacted by addiction, and persons with neurodevelopmental disabilities and delays. Cynthia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Hampton University in 2012 and a Master in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in 2018. During her tenure at VCU, Cynthia served as a fellow with the Virginia Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities program, where she developed an anti-drug and bullying program for children. In practice, Cynthia aims to assist clients in accessing and developing their inner strength and connectedness. In doing so, she uses an existentialist and trauma-informed lens to facilitate growth and provide a safe, judgment-free, and healing environment. Cynthia is experienced in Experiential therapies and Rational Behavior Therapy. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and is a certified first responder therapist. Cynthia is currently studying Organizational Psychology at Harvard University.

Dominique McLaughlin

Ms. McLaughlin holds a Masters of Arts in Mental Health Counseling with a specialty in deafness from Gallaudet University. She has worked in a variety of community mental health settings including several Community Services Boards (CSBs) providing mental health and substance use/misuse services. Ms. McLaughlin most recently worked at the Region Ten Community Services Board from 2007-2020 providing a variety of mental health and substance use services that included comprehensive assessments, individual therapy, group therapy, emergency services, crisis intervention, and most recently as the Program Manager of Region Ten's Access and Adult Clinical Services team. Ms. McLaughlin uses a strengths-based, solution-focused approach. Ms. McLaughlin is passionate about self-care and eldercare.

Eric Rodas

Originally raised outside of Rochester, New York, Eric brings a dynamic perspective shaped by his experiences in a diverse and vibrant community. He holds a Bachelor of Science in English from San Jose State University, where he graduated in 2005. Eric dedicated two years to teaching High School English, before changing his career path and becoming the Community Education Manager with the Silicon Valley Chapter of the Red Cross and then a Customer Support Specialist with the County of Santa Clara's Department of Social Services, where he helped support a team of 50 Social Workers and began learning project management. He volunteered with Gentiva Hospice in San Jose, CA, for three years, supporting patients and families during challenging times. Currently, he volunteers with Four County Players in Ruckersville, VA, contributing to the local arts community. Outside of his professional commitments, Eric is an avid reader and gardener. He cultivates an herb garden and makes his own fruit wine.

Jeff Hodgdon

Jeff Hodgdon has been working in the counseling field for more than 10 years, first in the metro Boston, MA area, and now in Charlottesville, VA. He has worked in clinical and leadership roles in various settings, including outpatient addiction clinics, community service boards, inpatient hospitals, and outpatient counseling programs. Jeff enjoys his job the most when he can directly help those in need. Jeff mainly uses person-centered and strength-based interventions to help his clients and believes in a practical approach to helping clients improve their lives. He especially enjoys working with those in the healthcare and academia. His areas of interest include, but are not limited to, clinician burnout, self-care, work/life balance, grief, and stress. He also enjoys work around prevention and reducing mental health stigma.

Karen M. Warburton

Dr. Karen Warburton grew up in Chapel Hill, N.C., and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia, then earned her medical degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Afterward, she went to the University of Pennsylvania, where she completed her residency and chief medical residency, followed by fellowships in nephrology and kidney and pancreas transplantation. During her 17 years at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Warburton served as Associate Program Director for both the Internal Medicine Residency and Nephrology Fellowship Training Programs. In those roles, she developed an interest and expertise in the assessment and remediation of struggling learners. She has developed and chaired successful coaching programs for medical trainees at both Penn and UVA. In 2016, Dr. Warburton returned to UVA as an associate professor of medicine in the division of transplant nephrology. In addition to her clinical role as a nephrologist specializing in kidney and pancreas transplantation at UVA, Dr. Warburton is the Director of the Clinician Wellness Program and Director of Graduate Medical Education Advancement. In these roles, she works with faculty and trainees to promote personal and professional wellbeing, find meaning in their work as a means of reducing burnout and promoting and maintaining engagement, and foster effective interpersonal communication by increasing self-awareness and promoting emotional intelligence skills. She provides clinical assessment and counseling for stress, substance use, anxiety, and depression, focusing on these issues among physicians.

Mary Sherman

Job Titles:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Ms. Sherman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. Ms. Sherman has extensive experience with coaching, short-term problem solving, management consultation, mediation, and facilitation on a range of personal and workplace issues. She has additional expertise helping employees improve communication skills, balance work and home, manage stress, increase happiness, in domestic violence work, and in helping employees deal with anxiety and depression. Member of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association and the College and University Work Family Association.

Pamela Meredith Hamilton

She recognizes through personal experience and working in community mental health, how families and communities can be impacted from the exposure to mental illness, substance abuse, and trauma. Through those purposeful experiences Pamela has made it her purpose to encourage, restore and empower - meeting people right where they are. Pamela is also an author, storyteller, professional life and relationship coach, motivational speaker, small group facilitator, Prepare-Enrich Facilitator, Mediator, and former host of The Hamilton Exchange Radio.

Rodney Diehl

Mr. Diehl has over 25 years of experience providing both hospital and community mental health and substance use services. He was most recently employed at Henrico Area Mental Health & Developmental Services where he supervised Same Day Access services. He specializes in Crisis Intervention and Emergency Services, but also has extensive experience in assessment and diagnosis, brief individual therapy, case management, community education and training, and anger management group facilitation. Mr. Diehl provides trauma-informed, culturally competent care with a person-centered, strengths-based approach.
