Life can sometimes present us with challenges that leave us feeling overwhelmed and confused. We can sometimes feel trapped, experiencing repetitive thought patterns without a clear solution in sight. Perhaps you are currently feeling low or lost; you may be going through a really difficult situation such as a separation, a redundancy, a health issue, or maybe you have recently lost a loved one and you are struggling to cope. It could be that you experienced a traumatic event, and you need a safe space to process what has happened to you. Whatever your situation, I am here to support you. Being a therapeutic counsellor does not mean I have my life completely sorted! Like many others, I have experienced relationship difficulties, bereavement and trauma. I have felt low, anxious, unsure and lonely. I have been a client to another therapist, and so I know how it feels to be vulnerable; sharing difficult thoughts and feelings with another individual. My training has provided me with the skills and knowledge to work with you, and help you to process difficult thoughts and feelings. It takes a lot of courage to seek help, so please be assured that whatever you choose to discuss in a session, it will be completely confidential and you will not be judged. My focus is on supporting and empowering you. I will meet you with warmth, kindness and understanding. Fran graduated from Staffordshire University in 2023 with a Foundation Degree in Counselling Theory and Practice. She is currently studying a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Warwickshire College. She volunteers for Serenity Counselling in Wolverhampton, whose primary focus is on supporting clients who have experienced trauma. She lives in Ludlow with her partner and their very active dog!
