Hello! My name is Robert, people that know me call me Bob, but family and close friends call me Bobby. Son of Richard and Shirley, I'm a proud native Toledoan. I graduated from Roy C. Start High School and attended the University of Toledo. I have two wonderful children Valerie and Brian that reside in Toledo. My sweetheart Dede and I have been happy to call Sylvania "HOME" since 1994. We have two terrific sons that graduated from Sylvania Northview, Andrew and Casey. I believe that my time spent as a businessman, daily evaluating ideas and suggestions, set's me apart with the advice that I provide to you. Professionally, I had a distinguished career in building materials working for one company for 29 years. Why did I get into investing? While there, in the mid 80's, as the manager, I was asked to encourage the employees to consider investing into a 401k. A new concept at the time, I was fascinated with the options of selecting investments that would benefit my family and my future. I found it intriguing. I've been passionate about investing ever since! When it was time to move on, I did. With the housing bust of 2006, I made the choice to follow my passion, investing. No one that knows me is surprised that I did. I started with a fine company, receiving my securities registration in June of 2007. That was just weeks before the market crashed. Surviving that, ultimately, I decided that being a truly "Independent Financial Advisor" was best for me and the families I am honored to help. Please review the brief blue video on the "Value an Independent Advisor" offers you, on my home page. The AAMS® designation I earned stands for Accredited Asset Management Specialist. It's to show that I am committed to continuing to deepening my knowledge in my profession. As a member of Sylvania community I am quite active. I belong to the Sylvania Chamber of Commerce, I volunteer at the Sylvania Senior Center, I've coached in the Sylvania Recreation Programs. I still play in the Sylvania Senior Softball league at Pacesetter Park. I'm an activs a Sylvania Moose member I participate in the horseshoe league there. Additionally I currently am a Better Business Bureau member, an Advisor to the Board of the Professional Remodelers Organization and a charter member of BNI Platinum Partners having served as mentor coordinator there. I have also received the Volunteer Excellence Award when I served on the Alumni Board of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity at the University of Toledo. You'd be surprised to know that I have bowled 5 300 games in my lifetime. My competitive spirit has lead my to play travel softball, where I'm known as 808! my jersey number. (ask me why) I love that I can help families in a very meaningful way. I want you to know; it's very humbling when someone entrusts me with their life's savings. It's something I take very seriously. I certainly would enjoy learning more about you, your family and your goals. Whether you are just starting to accumulate wealth or have significant assets to manage, I have the tools and background to provide the services that may fit your needs. For many, understanding every aspect of personal finance can be confusing. From investments to retirement to insurance to deciding on when to take social security, the decisions can be overwhelming but it doesn't have to be.
