CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOL

Our program is designed to promote STEM ( science, technology engineering, and math), teach the theory of flight (aeronautics) and introduce various careers, pioneers and inventors in aviation. The students were given a survey that asked them to identify careers in aviation. Ninety (90%) percent of them could only identify four (4) careers: janitoral, baggage handler, ticket agent, and flight attendant... With millions of young youth in the country, our aim is to reach out to as many as possible. We are a national 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our work is primarily funded by grants and individual donations. Long Term Goal: April 30,2026 marks the 100th anniversary of Bessie Coleman's death and in keeping her legacy alive, our goal is to expand our program throughout the United States... We conduct field trips to various airports and sit-in on college level career seminars. Guided tours of Airport operation facilities , Air Traffic Control Tower, FBO's, baggage, and aircraft..
