As Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) have found, Nurse Anesthetists were not excluded from AB 5. Specifically, individual CRNAs are not included as part of the definition of "Professional Services" nor are individual CRNAs able to contract directly with Hospitals, Surgery Centers, and the like (with our payers) as independent contractors, using AB 5's business to business exemption.
