BLUE FLAME

Blue Flame has been providing propane services to families and businesses in the four-state area for decades. In June of 1977 the company moved from its original home at Dawson Hardware to its present location beside the Valley Road Dairy Queen in Berkeley Springs, WV, and we grew rapidly from there. By 1979, local demand and construction on the Hancock Bridge had spurred the need for propane storage in Berkeley Springs, so a 30,000-gallon tank was added to the Berkeley Springs Plant. And in 1985 we purchased Empire Gas in Hancock, MD, so we could better expand into the Hancock area. By the Fall of 1991, Blue Flame was serving most of the communities in Morgan, Berkeley and Hampshire Counties in West Virginia, and in Washington County, MD. Our growing customer base spurred an addition that doubled our original office so we could better display fireplaces, space heaters, water heaters, and furnaces...
