Chelsey Carlson

Born and raised in Slayton, Chelsey is thrilled to be working in her hometown, interacting with patients she knows both professionally and personally, and in a community she loves. Prior to becoming a pharmacist, Chelsey worked as a pharmacy technician for eight years before graduating from South Dakota State University with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. In 2013, she became pharmacist/owner of GuidePoint Pharmacy in Slayton where she has a special interest in counseling, immunizations, medication therapy management and compliance packaging. In her spare time, Chelsey enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, reading and running.

Gary W. Pundt

Gary W. Pundt has been the pharmacist co-owner/manager at the Rochester location since July 2001. His pharmacy licensure began in 1988 after graduating from NDSU College of Pharmacy and his experience includes research and hospital in addition to community retail settings. Holding training certificates for immunizations and fitting diabetic footwear since 2008 he has served hundreds of patients with those special needs. His team of relief pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and delivery personnel are the best in the area. And when you call GuidePoint Pharmacy, unlike some businesses we personally answer the phone the old fashioned way. After choosing pharmacy as his long-term career path, Gary attended North Dakota State University where he received his bachelor's degree in Pharmacy in 1988. He began his pharmacy career in Florida before returning to the Midwest in 1989 and settling in Rochester in 2001. Gary is co-owner of Rochester's GuidePoint Pharmacy and is an active member of the Rochester community.

Jayme VanRisseghem

Jayme was raised in Bigfork MN. She moved to Brainerd as a young adult where she met her husband Nate and they raised their two boys, Jordan and Jacob. She worked in both the finance and the design industries before returning to school to pursue a career in Pharmacy. Jayme joined GuidePoint Pharmacy first as a pharmacy intern, and then as a pharmacist after graduating with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota. Jayme has a passion for helping others and empowering patients so that they can make the best health decisions for their individual needs. Other interests include providing drug awareness presentations at local schools and advocating for stronger school nurse/pharmacist relationships to help manage student medications. Outside of work Jayme enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, spending time in the outdoors, baking, cooking, and photography.

Katie Rangen

With a background in analytical chemistry, Katie became a pharmacist to fulfill her desire to work with people, helping treat their medical conditions and making a difference in their lives. As Guidepoint's Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Clinical Coordinator, Katie evaluates patient's health histories and treatment plans to make sure they are taking the most effective, cost-efficient medications available. She also specializes in diabetes education and working with students, helping train the next generations of pharmacists. Katie is a Brainerd native and a 2009 graduate of the University of Minnesota's College of Pharmacy. She joined GuidePoint Pharmacy in 2012.

Kayla Royer

Larry Leske

Larry attended high school in Wabasso, Minnesota and received his Pharmacy degree from South Dakota State University. He has been a pharmacist on Washington Street in Redwood Falls since 1975. Though the name has changed through the years, it continues to be a caring and friendly healthcare provider offering quality service. As a GuidePoint Pharmacist, he specializes in diabetes education, counseling, and immunizations. Larry guides patients to be fully engaged in all aspects of medications that impact their health, including prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, vitamins and preventive care such as vaccinations. Larry has demonstrated what it means to serve a community and was recognized in 2012 when he received the Bowl of Hygeia Award by the American Pharmacist Association. Over the years Larry has been involved in a variety of community service opportunities. Larry enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and reading.

Laura Schwartzwald

Laura, a North Dakota State University School of Pharmacy graduate, has worked in pharmacies around the Midwest since she graduated in 1988. As a pharmacist, Laura always desired to do more than just fill prescriptions. She thrives on helping people, getting to know her patients and how she can help them live a healthier life. GuidePoint is an outreach pharmacy; Laura serves as a preceptor for pharmacy students from the University of Minnesota, North Dakota State and South Dakota State University. She's also a clinical instructor at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. Laura is a former member of the state Board of Pharmacy and she also served on the University of Minnesota's Committee on Experiential Practice.

Lisa Iverson

Lisa received her Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota in 1992 and has been providing friendly, compassionate and responsible healthcare ever since. She started as a pharmacist in Woodbury, MN where she acquired the skills necessary to manage a busy pharmacy while continuing to help her patients achieve the best possible care. In 1998 she moved to the Brainerd Lakes Area with her family where she has had the opportunity to provide care to patients in various settings, from retail pharmacy, addiction management and clinical services. Throughout her pharmacy career, Lisa has strived to be an advocate for each patient. Helping them to feel confident and optimistic while working together to achieve their health goals. Focusing on preventative care through vaccinations and patient education is one way Lisa believes she can make a difference for her patients and community.

Matt Doucette

Growing up in Brainerd, Matt always had an interest in working in a small northern Minnesota community. He found being a pharmacist allowed him to interact with people and help them with their everyday lives. After receiving his doctor of pharmacy degree from North Dakota State University, Matt began his career working at Riverwood Healthcare in Aitkin. He joined the GuidePoint Pharmacy team in 2016. "With GuidePoint's vision we are able to practice at a level that allows us to be a part of a healthcare team that gets to help those in our community live their lives to the fullest," he said. "Being a pharmacist allows us the unique ability to relay professional advice and guidance to our community." In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his high school sweetheart, their two little boys, and their new baby girl. Together, they like to be outside making snowmen, ice skating, riding bikes, enjoying the lake, hunting, fishing, and kayaking.

Matt Larson

Growing up in Minnetonka, Matt worked in his father's pharmacy since he was 12. For years Matt watched his father's interaction with patients and the impact he was able to have on the community and decided he too wanted to be a pharmacist. Matt received his doctorate of pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Following in his father's footsteps, Matt is involved in the Crosby community and is always working to expand the pharmacy's services. Outside of work Matt enjoys the outdoors - backpacking, canoeing, camping, boating and hiking.

Michael Joldersma

Michael grew up in Edgerton, MN and received his pharmacy degree from North Dakota State University in 1987. He has been working in Litchfield, MN for the past 20 years and came to GuidePoint Pharmacy in December 2016 to continue utilizing medication Management that he started with the University of Minnesota. As a pharmacist, Michael enjoys providing one-on-one patient care to help his patients better understand, afford, and manage their health and live a healthier life. Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and three children as well as traveling, hiking and learning about the areas they visit.

Mike Schwartzwald

Mike received his Pharmacy degree from North Dakota State University in 1988 and has been moving up the pharmacy ranks ever since. He started as a pharmacist in rural Wisconsin where he received management training and soon he found himself working as chief pharmacist in a busy Twin Cities pharmacy. Since the beginning of his pharmacy career, Mike has thrived to provide hands-on, personalized care to his patients, creating an educational environment focused on patient wellness. Under that premise, Mike has successfully managed many pharmacies in Minnesota through the years, before purchasing what is now GuidePoint Pharmacy in Brainerd, Minn. Mike is one of two Minnesota Ambassadors for HealthMart International, he's on the advisory committee for Parata, a company that designs and sells pharmacy robotics. He was also named a finalist for the Parata Systems/Pharmacy Times 2011 Next-Generation Pharmacist Award.

Nick Boreen

A registered Pharmacist motivated to successfully provide high quality patient care in the community pharmacy setting, Nick completed his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree with a Leadership Emphasis at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy in May 2019. Experience at GuidePoint Pharmacy has provided him with opportunities to experience community pharmacy and enhanced medication therapy management services. Passion for expansion medication therapy management programs within independent pharmacy settings.

Nicole Larson

Since she was in high school working as a technician at a community pharmacy in Andover, MN, Nicole knew she wanted to pursue a career in pharmacy - rural pharmacy, to be exact. Nicole enjoys the closeness of small communities, being able to know her patients on a personal level. Nicole received her doctorate of pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth and joined GuidePoint Pharmacy in 2011. In her spare time, she enjoys fishing, water skiing, camping, cooking, running, sewing and antiquing.

Rebecca Piekarski

Rebecca graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Minnesota's College of Pharmacy in May of 2014. While going to school she interned for GuidePoint Pharmacy in Brainerd and took a full-time pharmacist position with them after graduation. In March 2016 she became the pharmacist in charge for the Nisswa and Longville store locations. Rebecca grew up on a small dairy farm near Randall, MN. She has had a love for caring for both people and animals throughout her life. When she isn't "pharming" in the pharmacy, she tries to help her husband on the farm while raising beef cows, planting and harvesting crops, and enjoying time with their children. Rebecca loves the small-town atmosphere and has enjoyed getting to know her patients and being able to bring them personalized one-on-one care; helping them learn more about their medications, offering immunizations and smoking cessation are just a few services she enjoys bringing to the community. She is also working toward offering health fairs and informational newsletters that will cover various health topics.

Robert Wennerstrand

After growing up in Warroad, Minn., Robert attended the College of Pharmacy at North Dakota State University where he received his bachelor's degree in pharmacy. He became a pharmacist because he enjoys working with people, helping them treat any ailments that may be affecting their lives. Robert joined the Medicine Shoppe, now GuidePoint, in 1996 where he specializes in educating patients on not only their medications, but preventative measures that can also help improve their lives.

Sandy Murphy

After receiving her pharmacy degree from North Dakota State University in 1990, Sandy became a commissioned officer in the U.S. Public Health Service. There she served as a clinical pharmacist for the Indian Health Service at clinics throughout MN, SD and NE. She then transferred to the Food and Drug Administration where she was an investigator for the Philadelphia District Office and was stationed in Pittsburgh, PA. While there she conducted inspections and investigations of Institutional Review Boards, Clinical Investigators, Drug Manufacturers, Medical Device Manufacturers, Blood Banks, Donor Centers, and Food Manufacturers. She also served as Health Fraud Coordinator for the district. After leaving the Service she worked in retail, independent, clinical and hospital pharmacies throughout Colorado, West Virginia, Ohio, and South Dakota before moving to Marshall in 1999. In 2017, she became Pharmacist/Owner of GuidePoint Pharmacy in Marshall where she specializes in Medication Therapy Management and helping others manage their health through prevention and education. In her spare time, Sandy enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
