La Plata Communities, Inc. is a Colorado corporation, which was originally formed in 2007. It is a successor to LP47, LLC, d/b/a La Plata Investments, which was formed in 1995 to acquire approximately 5,000 acres within the Briargate Master Plan in Colorado Springs and developed Briargate from 1995 to 2007, when La Plata Communities was formed as part of a corporate reorganization. The owners of La Plata are B. Douglas Quimby and Michael Ruebenson. The board of directors consists of Mr. Quimby, Mr. Ruebenson and Ms. Lindsey Nigon. La Plata currently has 19 employees... La Plata Communities, Inc. ("La Plata") is now in its 28th year of Master Planned Community development. La Plata is the developer for the Briargate Master Plan including Cordera, North Fork at Briargate, Pine Creek and Briargate residential communities, the Briargate Business Campus and Briargate Crossing.
