Dr. Ashwin Malhotra is a lifelong New Yorker and board-certified neurologist. He completed his medical training at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center in Neurology and Neurophysiology.
A powerlifter and athlete, Dr. Malhotra, has personally suffered from back pain, knee pain, and carpal tunnel syndrome, and maintains a unique appreciation for proper chronic pain management and physical therapy. He believes in Preventative Neurology targeted at improving brain-health, longevity, and reaching optimum cognitive capacity. He supports utilizing integrative/alternative medicines and having a holistic approach to treating neurologic disease.
Dr, Malhotra is an active member of multiple medical societies (American Academy of Neurology, Peripheral Nerve Society, Brain Injury Association of New York State, American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine, American Clinical Neurophysiology Society) as well as being a faculty member at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Capital Health Medical Center.

Dr. Charles Kaplan, Medical Director at Metro Healthcare Partners, oversees the entire medical staff ensuring patient care quality and efficiency. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, SUNY Downstate Medical Center, and New York University Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation (residency) with over 34 years of experience.
Dr. Charles Kaplan, Metro Healthcare Partners' Medical Director, is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, SUNY Downstate Medical Center (medical school), and New York University Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation (residency). He oversees the medical staff at the facility, whose goal is to increase patient care quality.
He has over 34 years of experience and is licensed to practice medicine in New York, New Jersey, and 10 additional states. Furthermore, Dr. Kaplan is certified and registered in the National Registry, by FMCSA, to perform DOT physicals for interstate CMT drivers.
Dr. Kaplan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and an expert in rehabilitation. He is also a graduate of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine Accelerated Program in Manual Medicine. As a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Kaplan possesses a New York State Certification in Acupuncture and is a graduate of the Swedish Institute of Massage. He has been in successful private practice in physical medicine since 1992 after serving internships and residencies in high-pressure urban hospital environments. Dr. Kaplan also has over two years of experience as an early-on-board staff physician for a start-up musculoskeletal telemedicine company that has expanded its services nationwide.
In his free time, Dr. Kaplan enjoys traveling, trying the latest tech gadgets, and hiking.
With thirty years of clinical experience and involvement in new state legislature, Dr. Christos Vasakiris continues to shape the chiropractic profession. He is one of the most accomplished chiropractors in New York State and among other concentrations he specializes in EMG and NCV testing.
Dr. Eric J. Feldmann is radiologist at Metro Healthcare Partners in Brooklyn.
Dr. Feldmann has over 20 years of diverse experiences, with an emphasis in Diagnostic Radiology. He graduated with honors from Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in 2006. A radiologist in Stony Brook, New York, he is affiliated with Stony Brook University Hospital. His sub-specialties include General Radiology and Bone Imaging/Musculoskeletal.
He underwent education and medical training at SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital & Medical Center for Residency in Radiology; at the Hospital for Special Surgery for Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology; and at New York Medical College for Internship in Transitional Year. Dr. Howard Baum is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon in Brooklyn, N.Y. He received his medical degree and graduated with honors from New York Medical College in 1989. Dr. Baum completed his Residency in Orthopedic Surgery at State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. He is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including both Maimonides Medical Center, the non-profit, non-sectarian hospital located in Borough Park, Brooklyn, and New York Community Hospital. Ralph Mangels has always excelled in multi-disciplinary settings including most recently for the Chronic Pain Options of Long Island where he is the chiropractor among a staff of neurologists, pain management specialists and rehabilitation professionals. Edwin J. Thorne began working at Healthquest, now Metro Healthcare Partners, in 2005. He is a certified physical therapy assistant and received his training and certification from Kingsborough Community College. His varied work experience, superb interpersonal skills, and passion for his job and the New York Mets truly brighten up the office.
Edwin is an intrinsic part of the Metro Healthcare Partners team. His service at Metro Healthcare Partners range from treating patients with prescribed modalities or exercise programs, aiding in the testing of geriatric balance patients and administering the videonystagmogram, to even caring diligently for the office aquarium.
He has been working as a Physical Therapist Assistant from June 2005 to the present providing all aspects of treatment to patients on an individual basis. Serving as a physical therapy assistant, he also reviews patient improvement and helps them progress through the treatment plan.
