Dani is the waterproofing and roofing guru of Oculus. If there is a question about what kind of membrane to use, if it's installed correctly, or how to detail something Dani is the go-to guy. He brings a level of detail to the role that is unmatched and understands the relationships between consultants, installers, suppliers and everyone else who needs to get the job done right.
Dani previously worked for nearly a decade as the technical sales director of a national waterproofing distributor. Through this role, he gained an appreciation of what makes a good membrane, what to look for in the installation and how to detail the difficult penetrations. His attention to detail and technical knowledge base make him a real asset to any project.

Denise Martin is a consulting building analyst in the residential and commercial building sectors of New Zealand and Australia. She founded BEO Ltd and is now the Principal Analyst for Oculus Ltd.
Her experience expands across several aspects of building science, such as energy efficiency and building performance through computer modelling, hygrothermal detail analysis using WUFI, Isothermal detail analysis and building envelope permeability testing using the Minneapolis Blower Door.
Denise has extensive knowledge on Passive House and is a certified Passive House Designer as well as a member of the Attma Air Tightness Testing and Measurement Association.
Denise conducted the first, final and qualifying Blower Door test on the first Passive House in New Zealand.
In 2020 Denise advised the Australian Government on measures to be adopted in their building code to mitigate risks of condensation in residential buildings particularly in regard to mitigating impacts of condensation on occupant health.

Dimas is one of the most detailed building enclosure guys you'll work with. He's got a keen interest in Passive House design, Revit modelling, and cool computery simulations that make really good buildings.
He's got an architectural background but found his place working on the technical aspects of building enclosures. Dimas is a recent import from the US working most recently in Seattle at a building enclosure engineering firm.

James has nearly 20 years' experience of structural engineering and prides himself on his open, clear and focused style of communication with clients. He works hard to understand the client's needs while striving to improve and deliver the best results. His experience as a Project Manager, Design Manager and Structural Engineer leads and improves design quality and efficiency of design while reducing program costs.
A good portion of James' experience is international where he had the opportunity to work on many large complicated structural engineering projects. This outside the box approach to structural engineering combined with more recent experience in New Zealand are an asset to projects of any size. He's a common sense engineer who understand first principles at a deeper level that most.
