The Pleasant View Fire Department is located in southwest Colorado in the shadow of the Mesa Verde National Park and the Ute Mountain. At an average elevation of 6900 ft we cover an area of approximately 384 square miles. The area consists of pinion and juniper covered canyons, dry and irrigated farm land, many homes, outbuildings and barns... Our mission is to provide high quality emergency services with professionalism and aptitude. We are dedicated to the preservation of life and property through proficiency with our equipment, continual medical and fire training and knowledge of emergency scene management. We strive to continually maintain a state of preparedness to meet these goals... The area we cover is made up of the three communities of Pleasant View, Yellow Jacket and Cahone.
