The Art of Climate Change creates opportunities for people of all ages to engage in learning and dialogue about climate risks in a novel way. Examples of climate risk explored through this initiative are the effects of forest fires and flooding on local landscapes, community, culture, health, and wellness. Our team guides small groups, or larger cohorts, through a process of experiential learning, including field trips lead by scientists and Indigenous knowledge holders. Participants gain new and practical skills, such as photography, writing, and communication. Learning outcomes are then shared with family, friends, co-workers, and the greater community. The Art of Climate Change has proven to be successful in fostering multi-generational dialogue about climate risks in a new way... A single story has the power to change..
