SEALY ANIMAL HOSPITAL - Key Persons

Dr. Cullen Dauchy

Job Titles:
  • Veterinarian and Mentor
Dr. Cullen Dauchy was born and raised in Caldwell County, and grew up farming and ranching in Fentress, Texas on the San Marcos River. His family owned and operated a cotton gin from 1879 until 1968 in Fentress; Dr. Dauchy was the last head ginner before the gin closed due to lack of cotton production. He graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1968 with a degree in Animal Science. He entered the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A& M University in the fall of 1968 and graduated on August 6, 1971. He began his practice working for his boss and mentor, Dr. Bob Field, at Katy Veterinary Clinic soon thereafter. In March of 1978, he purchased Katy Veterinary Clinic from Dr. Field and owned it for 31 years. In December of 2008, he sold his practice to his associate of five years, Dr. Kari Cleavinger. He and his wife, Alice, raised three daughters who graduated from Katy High School, and then went on to pursue college degrees. As his daughters grew up, he served on several athletic boards, and he has been a Bible Study class director for many years. Dr. and Mrs. Dauchy, who married in July 1967, are proud grandparents of two granddaughters and six grandsons, who bring them lots of joy and happiness. He continues to practice the vocation he loves by working one day per week for Sealy Animal Hospital, and occasionally at Katy Veterinary Clinic, and he hopes to be able to practice until he turns 80 in 2026. All of us at Sealy Animal Hospital are blessed to benefit from Dr. Dauchy's wisdom and experience!

Dr. Nicole Oberle

Job Titles:
  • Owner
  • Veterinarian
Dr. Oberle was raised in West Texas on a cotton farm and from very early on had a love for animals. As she started getting older, she began to volunteer and then work in the local veterinary clinic. Her love of veterinary medicine was soon firmly rooted through her mentor who owned the practice. He showed her not only what best medicine looks like, but also how to treat people and help guide them through difficult decisions. Though her family are all Texas Tech Red Raiders, she was born to be an Aggie. After finishing high school, she headed to College Station where she received her Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences and continued on to veterinary school. During veterinary school, she married her husband Clif. Dr. Oberle graduated in 2008 with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and left to practice in a mixed animal practice in North Texas. While it was a wonderful experience, the birth of their first son helped them to realize they wanted to be closer to family and they headed back to her husband's hometown of Houston. Dr. Oberle has been practicing in the area for the past 10 years and is very excited to be a part of the family here in Sealy.
