Serenity Farm Virginia is a 501(c)(3) public charity funded by donations and staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers. Our mission is to provide a safe haven for farm animals where they live out their lives in a natural, chemical free environment; to be a place of peace and solace for visitors; and to provide green living education to promote the health of our planet. At Serenity Farm you have an opportunity to learn how all living things are interconnected... We believe animals will choose the nutrients they need when given the opportunity so free-choice minerals, unprocessed salt and organic kelp are always available to our farm animals. We do not administer medication or chemicals prophylactically. Instead, animals are regularly monitored with detailed health assessments that include photographs, a five-point body condition check, and FAMACHA scoring.
