TANIN KAYVAN

Tanin Kayvan was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. In 2015, alongside her studies in anthropology at the University of Victoria, she worked on conservation projects on the Galapagos Islands. She also began working as an interpreter at refugee camps in Greece in 2016. From 2017-2018 she worked on a long term project photographing over 100 families in communities in Peru, Mongolia, Iran, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, India, and Turkey. In 2019 her work was published by UNESCO and exhibited at their headquarters in Paris France, notably in the Silk Roads exhibition, and the Regenerations exhibition at the UNESCO 40th Session General Conference to showcase intercultural and intergenerational dialogue.
