Charles came to Peninsula Family Service in 2022 as the Chief Program Officer. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Sociology the University of North Texas and his Master of Business Administration from Doane University. Charles has 15 years of executive management experience in youth and community services. He has served as the Executive Director of the Metro Youth YMCA in Detroit, Michigan, the CEO of the YMCA in Grand Island Nebraska, and the Executive Director of the Salvation Army and Boys and Girls Club in Dallas, Texas. Charles' organizational leadership strengths include systems analysis, training and development, motivational speaking, and conflict resolution. Charles engages in conscious listening to build mutual understanding and trust, two foundational keys to the cultural strength of any organization. Charles' leadership philosophy is based upon ethical service, and he consistently demonstrates a commitment to the growth and well-being of his employees as well as the communities he has served. Elizabeth attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, a major which nurtured her love of traveling and learning about other cultures. Aside from spending time with her family, her passions include traveling, skiing, and community service. A long-time admirer of our impact in the community, Elizabeth joined our Advancement Committee in 2015 and our Board of Directors in 2016. She now plays an important role in raising funds for our organization, increasing community outreach, and inspiring the Peninsula's young thought leaders and business professionals to take an active role in strengthening the neighborhoods we call home.

Euree has brought B2B tech clients knowledge and experience from a wide variety of industries, as well as best practices insights that underpin substantial revenue growth and market advantages.

Freddy Pacheco

Freddy Pacheco, originally from La Paz, Bolivia, has called the Bay Area his home since the age of six, graduating at Menlo-Atherton High School, Foothill College, and later pursuing a bachelor of science degree in Business Management from San Jose State University. After spending over ten years in the financial services sector, six of which were working in non-profit services. Freddy has always had a passion for helping families and individuals during challenging times. He was at the forefront of the recession from 2008 to 2013, working as a foreclosure prevention counselor for CCCS of San Francisco, later transitioning into a FinTech sector working for Lending Club, a progressive company offering a peer-to-peer lending platform, as a Credit Specialist. Freddy began his journey with Peninsula Family Service in 2017, as a Financial Empowerment Coordinator, in-which shortly after he joined the management team. As the Financial Empowerment Manager, he oversees our vehicle loan program "DriveForward", credit building program "Lending Circles", and our financial education workshops. Outside of work, Freddy enjoys spending time with his family; he is a lifelong member of the 49ers Faithful, and an avid dog enthusiast.

Heather Cleary - CEO

Heather Cleary is Peninsula Family Service's Chief Executive Officer since January 1st, 2016. A San Mateo resident and a Bay Area native, she joined Peninsula Family Service in 2010 as Chief Financial Officer. She received her degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and got her professional start as an accountant at Arthur Andersen where she earned her CPA license. She obtained her Master's in Public Administration degree at San Francisco State University in May 2017. Heather joined the nonprofit world 18-years ago, working at a private foundation and public charities. In 2015, Heather took on the added role of Associate Executive Director/CFO, overseeing our Early Learning Program. Upon her promotion to CEO, she focused on community partnerships to support our programs and advocacy for increased wages for early learning teachers. In addition, she continues to ensure strong financial and risk management and focuses on measuring and improving outcomes for all our program participants. Heather uses her analytical and organizational skills as a member of the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) for San Mateo. She also serves as a Board Member of the San Mateo Area Chamber of Commerce, is a Thrive Action Group steering committee member, a member of the local Childcare Partnership Council, and a San Mateo Rotary member.

In my thirty years of working in Early Learning, I have seen so much change and progression in the field. The advancement in educating the 0-5 age range continues to instill passion for my love of working with children and their families. From the first steps, children learning to say my name and giving me hugs or high fives; my heart continues to melt over and over again. I have had the pleasure of working for Peninsula Family Service for the last 8 years. We have a great group of Family Engagement Coordinators who serve with a passion to empower our families to become advocates for themselves and their children. Our teaching staff (front line workers) dedicate each day to putting their best foot forward, teaching parents to be their child's first teachers. The importance of Social and Emotional development and supporting ongoing peer to peer relationships that foster the continuing developmental milestones for school readiness.

Perla has twin girls, Luna and Sol that have been with Peninsula Family Service since 2017. Both girls currently attend our Early Learning Center. Last year Perla was working on NCLEX-PN (National Council Licensure Examination-Practical Nurses) and passed December 2018 as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She is currently looking for permanent work and volunteering a few hours a day at the Early Learning Center.

Ron Lynch

For nearly three decades, Ron, his wife Natalie, and their three children have called the Peninsula home. When not spending with the family or being bested on the golf course by his sons, he works as the Director of Sales for Finite, a Solar Finance interval fund. Ron is a past member of the board of trustees at his Alma Mater, Hartwick College in New York, he previously served as president of the San Francisco Bond Club and was a member of the Hillsborough Schools Foundation. Inspired by his wife's and kids' volunteer efforts with Peninsula Family Service, Ron joined our Board of Directors in 2015. He currently sits on our Advancement Committee and shares a deep understanding of sales and development with our organization. Ruth succeeds in skillfully utilizing her own diverse talents in making her community a better place to live. Any gift or talent that she has, she somehow translates into a positive for someone other than herself. Armed with her B.A. in Speech and Hearing Therapy, Ruth has worked to establish vital speech clinics at both the Crippled Children's Society and the U.C. Medical Center. As a former travel industry employee, she parlayed her skills into establishing a highly successful and beloved annual fundraiser benefiting Peninsula Family Service. Her love of roses can be witnessed in her efforts for the Hillsborough Garden Club, her love of opera in her work for the San Francisco Opera Guild and her love of children in almost everything she does. Others may have diverse interests like Ruth, but not everyone is as adept at taking it to the next level of excellence and citizenship by using their individual talents. She is the walking definition of "leading by example," spreading her golden touch wherever she goes.
