Holly Cohen

Holly brings the strength and experience of her 10 year tenure as the Executive Director of the Kohelet Foundation and her varied career in law to her role on the Tamim Academies Team. At the foundation, Holly developed and implemented a number of initiatives and programs, all aimed at challenging the status quo and enhancing the quality of education within the Jewish day school field. Holly also has extensive experience working with partner funders and structuring grants for maximum impact. A graduate of New York University and Temple University School of Law, Holly is passionate about Jewish education and children. She has served as a board member of OROT, The Philly Friendship Circle, Caskey Torah Academy, and the Foundation for Jewish Day Schools. She has also provided legal counsel to a number of non-profit organizations. Holly and her husband reside in Merion Station, Pennsylvania where they love spending time with their kids and grandkids.

Mariashi Groner is the Director of Charlotte Jewish Day School. Raised on shlichus in Detroit, after receiving training in Judaics instruction from Beth Rivkah Seminary in Brooklyn, NY, Mariashi and her husband, Rabbi Yossi Groner, were sent to the Carolinas in 1980. Mariashi soon opened a Jewish school in Charlotte; the successful preschool program became The Jewish Preschool on Sardis, and the day school moved to its present location at Shalom Park. Later, Mrs. Groner was approached by Charlotte Jewish leaders seeking to form a community day school built upon the existing school. Charlotte Jewish Day School was the final result of their combined efforts.

Mrs. Rivkah Slonim

Rivkah Slonim is the education director at the Rohr Chabad Center for Jewish Student Life at Binghamton University. An internationally known teacher, lecturer, and activist, she travels widely, addressing the intersection of traditional Jewish observance and contemporary life, with a special focus on Jewish women in Jewish law and life. Slonim is the editor of Total Immersion: A Mikvah Anthology (Jason Aronson 1996, Urim 2006) and Bread and Fire; Jewish Women Find God in the Everyday (Urim 2008).

Rabbi Efraim Mintz is the founding Executive Director of the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute (JLI), providing educational offerings in over 2,000 chapters across the globe. Rabbi Mintz directs a vibrant network of education departments for teens, university students, online learning and the annual National Jewish Retreat. He serves on the executive committee of the International Conference of Chabad Shluchim.

Rabbi Levi Klein, together with his wife Rivky, have been the Chabad emissaries in Memphis Tennessee, since 1994. Rabbi Klein is the founder and director of Chabad Lubavitch of Tennessee, which now has five branches across the state. Rabbi Klein was ordained at the Central Chabad Yeshiva in Brooklyn, New York in 1991. Prior to moving to Memphis, Rabbi Klein participated in Chabad's "Merkos Shlichus" program - often referred to as the "Jewish Peace Corps" - leading services and programs in Venezuela, Russia, Australia, France, North Africa, Spain, and various states across the U.S. Rabbi Klein is a certified mohel, Jewish liaison and chaplain at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and chaplain to the nearby state and federal correctional facilities. He also serves as a rabbinic Kosher inspector for various Kashrut agencies.

Rabbi Menachem Schmidt

Rabbi Menachem Schmidt graduated from Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University in 1976, and received rabbinic ordination in 1980 at Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch in Montreal. He and his wife Chava were appointed as shluchim (emissaries) under the auspices and sponsorship of Rabbi Avraham Shemtov. They founded Lubavitch House at the University of Pennsylvania, where he currently serves as Executive Director. He has also aided in founding many of the Chabad-Lubavitch centers in the Delaware Valley. Rabbi Schmidt co-founded Jewish Heritage Programs (JHP) in 1993 and has guided its activities and expansion to several regional college campuses. JHP was a pioneer in peer-to-peer campus outreach and mentoring of college students by community professionals. Under his direction, JHP became an umbrella group for the Jewish Business Network (JBN), Young Professionals Network (YPN), Old City Jewish Art Center (OCJAC), and the JHP Mentoring program while continuing its programming on the university level. Rabbi Schmidt was instrumental in founding Philadelphia's Jewish Relief Agency (JRA), which distributes food to more than 3000 impoverished families each month, as well as the Chabad on Campus International Foundation, where he currently serves as President. Rabbi Schmidt also serves as the Rabbi of the Historic Vilna Congregation in Center City Philadelphia.
