Coach Carlos Medlock

Bio: Coach Carlos Medlock was a four year starter at Eastern Michigan University where he was a captain for three years averaging 17 PPG his senior year. Following his outstanding college career, Coach Carlos played 12 years of professional basketball in Europe, playing in Germany, Greece, Poland, Iceland, Turkey and the UK. His highest scoring season he averaged 27PPG. Coach Carlos is big on details; doing the little things right and using your mind to gain an advantage over your opponent. Coach Carlos works with athletes of all ages and levels from youth to professionals giving Private Lessons, working with small groups and teaching our skills classes His special areas of expertise are Shooting Form and Ball Handling , but he also leads Off-Hand Development, and our 75 Min. Skills & Shooting Classes.

Coach Shae Oleta Smith

Bio: Coach Shae Oleta Smith is the first female student assistant for the Madonna Men's Basketball Team, was the Detroit Pistons Jr. NBA Coach of the Year, is founder of Oleta One Basketball, and is an advocate for the Nike X Pistons Game Growers. Coach Shae does Private Lessons, Small Group Workouts and helps out with our 75 Min. Skills & Shooting Classes.

Jalen Sykes

Windsor Express (NBL) and the Lansing Pharaohs (TBL). Jalen fits perfectly at the Factory because he believes consistent execution of the fundamentals are the key to success as a basketball player. Coach Sykes works with athletes of all ages and levels giving Private Lessons, teaching Off-Hand Development, and helping out with Shooting Form, Ball Handling and our 75 Min. Skills & Shooting Classes.

Kyle Gupton

Bio: Coach Kyle is one of the best basketball shooters you will ever meet. His personal motto is "Everything's a layup!" After completing his college playing career, he has gone on to play professionally for nearly a decade in Europe and Australia. He does his own workouts and trains athletes of all ages at The Factory. Kyle does Private Lessons, and helps out with Shooting Form, Ball Handling and our 75 Min. Skills & Shooting Classes.

Rich Sherwood

Bio: Coach Rich has been coaching travel and high school baseball and basketball for 15 years. He has sent dozens of players on to play at all levels of college basketball & baseball, and has had two players play professional baseball, with more on the way. For baseball, Coach Sherwood teaches hitting and fielding at The Factory in the form of Private Lessons, Small Group Hitting and Small Group Fielding. For Basketball, Coach Rich teaches several classes at The Factory including Ball Handling, Shooting Form, 75 Min Skills & Shooting, Attack! and Pivot Foot Classes. Coach Rich also teaches a two classroom classes at The Factory; The Mental Game (covering the mental side of sports and how to improve performance), and The Next Level (covering the entire recruiting process, how to prepare for the competing at the next level, and what to expect when you get there). These classes are priceless for young athletes who want to compete on the biggest stage.
