Vitrea Consulting Ltd. was founded in 2018 by Paul Veldhuizen, a highly-experienced, senior leader in the energy trading and maritime industry. Paul joined Shell Tankers in 1981 as a dual certified officer. After obtaining an MSc in International Shipping from Plymouth University, he joined Shell Trading and Shipping (STASCO) in London in 1988; initially in Market Analysis and Chartering, moving to LPG trading/scheduling. Following his time as Global Lead for Claims & Demurrage and Freight & Cargo Operations, he moved to Gas & Power to join the - then embryonic - LNG Supply/Trading team. After an assignment in Qatar as VP Shipping at Tasweeq (now part of Qatar Energy), he returned to London in 2010, leading Fleet Operations Support and Crew Management.
