Al Merschen

As the president of Myriad and a partner with MMGY Global, Al's efforts are hands-on and wide-ranging. More often than not, you can find him developing strategic solutions to client challenges, creating industry partnerships and supporting Myriad and MMGY Global's growth. Al's also an accomplished speaker, having presented on five continents and in countless countries on topics including research, marketing, changing trends and the creative process. In more than 30 years with Myriad, Al's worked with more than international and U.S.-based destinations. His experience touches most categories in the travel and tourism industry, including cruise lines, airlines, tour companies and consortia. While covering millions of miles across dozens of countries, Al's done it all. He's been lucky enough to jump out of an airplane over the Great Barrier Reef, samba in full costume for Carnival in Rio de Janeiro and summit Mount Kilimanjaro. He's even bungee jumped off Macao's tallest tower, trekked the villages of Papua New Guinea, hang glided in Cape Town and square danced in the Ozarks.

Danny Guerrero

Danny is an expert in communication channel solutions for domestic and international clients. As a group account director, Danny delivers on this every day, managing client services teams, accounts and client relations while developing and driving strategic campaigns. His 17 years of industry experience comes in handy in his work for clients like Visit California, the Los Cabos Tourism Board, Tourism Fiji, Fiji Airways, Thai Airways and Australia's Northern Territory. Danny truly enjoys what he does. It gives him the chance to find new ways of conveying the most important part of travel - the ability to open eyes and hearts. Many of Danny's favorite memories happened abroad and can be found in the people, places, sights and sounds that define him - from reconnecting with a parent in Paris to marrying the love of his life in Mexico.

Julie Cuesta - EVP, Managing Director

Julie leads the Myriad team in implementing strategically integrated programs for their international destination clients. Julie's focus is on ensuring that her team effectively plans and implements robust programs, including consumer marketing, travel trade engagement from product develop to agent training, public relations and social media. Her 20-plus years in the industry started at the South Australian Tourism Commission in their U.S. office. She then worked at Qantas Vacations before joining Myriad in 2001. Ever since, she's worked on nearly all of Myriad's destination clients. As a child, Julie told her family that her life goal was to see the world. Since then, she's learned that every destination offers something fascinating, even if it wasn't already on her bucket list. She couldn't tell you how many countries she's visited. She just knows she's always moving closer to her childhood goal.

Laura Matar

As director of marketing services, Laura handles the strategic direction and management of a diverse portfolio of tourism clients. Day to day, she manages agency services across strategy, measurement, media, interactive and research. Her current clientele includes Discover Dominica Authority, the Samoa Tourism Authority, the British Virgin Islands Tourism Board and more. Laura's presented at The New York Times Travel Show, Travel Impact Alliance Immersion Summit and Signature Travel Network's regional conferences. In her 10 years at Myriad, Laura's also worked with Cook Islands Tourism, the Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority, the Sydney Opera House, Tourism Northern Territory, Fiji Airways and Travel Costa Mesa. Not a newcomer to international travel, her expertise began with her first job. As a travel agent with Qantas Vacations, Laura confidently sent her clients to Asia and the South Pacific armed with her extensive knowledge of the region.

Tricia Carvajal

Tricia joined Myriad in March 2019 from Delta Vacations. Tricia prides herself in building strong relationships with her partners and clients while developing and implementing strategic marketing campaigns and sales initiatives. At Delta Vacations, Tricia focused on a portfolio of U.S. tourism boards as well as worldwide hotel chains and ski resorts. In addition, she managed launch and marketing efforts of new flight routes for Delta Air Lines. Her knowledge of the wholesale industry and both consumer- and travel trade-facing marketing campaigns will be highly valuable for her clients at Myriad. Having worked in marketing and sales across multiple industries, Tricia has found her home in the travel industry. She's been lucky enough to travel extensively for both work and pleasure, discovering how important and fulfilling it is to experience cultures and landscapes different than her own.
