KURA HUMAN FACTORS LIMITED - Key Persons

Christo Hudson

Job Titles:
  • Member of the Mental Health Team

As a Line Training Captain, his role led him to become an incident investigator as a Flight Data Monitoring Gatekeeper. Examining data from onboard flight data recorders, he soon found that there was much more going on behind the flight-deck door and that pilots and cabin crew felt unable to talk openly about their mental health. Following his redundancy and his own period of poor mental health, Christo trained as a Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Trainer. Through his roles as a mentor and peer support volunteer, he has seen how life's struggles can be debilitating and how it is possible to help and support someone when they are unwell. As an MHFA England Instructor Member, he has passed the licensed training programme, accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health and licensed by MHFA International. He delivers Suicide First Aid Courses with the accreditation of the City & Guilds and is also qualified to teach up to Level 3/Level 6 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health.
