Aanya obtained a first-class honours degree in Law from the University of Southampton, where she was also awarded a Dean's List Prize for academic attainment. Later, she completed the LLM in Professional Legal Practice with a Distinction.
Aanya joined Caytons as a Trainee Solicitor. Aanya assists in defending claims against various professionals including architects, engineers and other construction professionals, auctioneers and solicitors. She also advises on appointments, building contracts and collateral warranties on behalf of a wide range of professionals and others engaged in the construction industry.
Having worked in hedge funds for US equity and FX markets for several years, the transition to working within Lloyd's of London and claims was an easy one for Abigale. She is experienced in both ECF and claims back-office systems such as GXB and BDX. Financial systems such as DTC cages, Bloomberg and Vitesse have also given Abigale a large breadth of transferable knowledge. Previously she worked for another Insurance firm doing binding authority management, and was seconded out doing various claims work, including aircraft and fine art lines, along with creating LPAN's and sending underwriters CP13's and E2I's. Whilst having been in Caytons employ Abigale was seconded out to Bishopsgate dealing with a variety of claims namely, Public and Employee Liability and PI claims for excess layers before moving back over to Caytons and taking the role as claims assessor predominantly for PI claims. Abigale is an excellent problem solver, committed to brokers and clients alike, forging long lasting relationships.
Eddie is a mathematics graduate of the University of Bristol. He joined the claims team at Caytons Law, in January 2024, as a Claims Assistant.
Eddie sets up new notifications, claims summaries, MI packs, and assists the Claims Handlers in their tasks.

Emma joined Caytons in 2012 as a senior claims administrator. Prior to joining, she spent five years working for a claims management company that specialised in handling professional negligence claims, predominantly against surveyors, architects, engineers, financial advisers and insurance brokers. Emma also has experience in reporting to insurer clients, advising them on payments and reserves.
Emma became the office manager in March 2014. Her additional duties include general administrative tasks, running payroll, invoicing clients, assisting in the induction process for new employees, delegating work to staff and managing their workload and output, organising the office layout and maintaining the condition of the office.

Jenny joined Cayton's in 2020 as a claims assistant after 25 years as a retail Account Manager, managing a sales team.
Jenny offers support services to the claims team and is responsible for administrative duties such as acknowledging new notifications and creating claim files, dealing with general post, data entry, producing claim summaries, monthly bordereau reporting and invoice reviews.
John has extensive litigation experience with particular expertise in handling all classes of professional negligence disputes. He started his career managing claims for the London market. He therefore understands the market's requirements. He created the first panel solicitors report and was one of the first to use mediation to resolve a dispute long before it became commonplace.
John also has considerable experience drafting professional indemnity policies. He has advised most of the London professional indemnity market on some aspect of their policy wordings. His experience in drafting policies gives him an invaluable insight when differences arise on the interpretation of a policy provision. He has used this insight to obtain successful outcomes for his clients on many occasions. John is qualified as a solicitor in England and Ireland.
Prior to joining Caytons, Jordan attained a First Class Law degree. Since beginning her professional career, Jordan has gained experience in both the legal and claims team at Caytons, dealing with professional negligence claims from initial advice through to final settlement. Jordan has also gained valuable experience working for a global Lloyd's insurance broker and a leading insurance company. Jordan is a member of the CII and is currently working towards completing her Diploma in insurance.
Having previously completed work experience with a city law firm, Katie decided to pursue her interest in the insurance market, law and claims management and took a position at Caytons to begin her career in insurance. Katie has studied Law and Financial Studies for her A-levels which are prime backgrounds for an entry into claims. She has gained an excellent understanding of the rudiments of PI claims and has been assisting the team, from assisting the handlers to preparing the monthly claims bordereaux.
Mary specialises in construction and professional liability disputes, acting for all stakeholders including private clients, professionals, Irish and UK insurers and Lloyd's syndicates. Recommended in Legal 500 EMEA 2019 for Construction, she regularly acts for professionals (architects, engineers, assigned certifiers, solicitors, financial advisors, estate agents, surveyors and their insurers in a broad range of claims. Mary also provides coverage advice to insurers on policy response issues, has considerable experience in claims investigation and liaising with both Insurers and the Insured on cost-effective claims management.
Mary has significant experience in other forms of dispute resolution, including without prejudice negotiations, conciliation, mediation and arbitration.
Mary is a Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP) and is currently a member of both the Council of the Insurance Institute of Dublin 2016-2020 and the National Council of the Insurance Institute of Ireland (2016-2020). She was also awarded the LLMIT qualification (Lloyd's & London Market Insurance Exam) and the Professional Certificate in Commercial and Personal Insurance (APA) qualification.

Peter studied at King's College, London and has over thirty years' experience providing legal services in arbitrations, High Court proceedings, mediations and other ADR. This has covered the full range of professional indemnity-related matters, with particular specialism in contractor, construction-consultant, surveyor/valuer and broker claims. His construction caseload, which includes both first and third party claim resolution, has covered civil and structural, mechanical and electrical, geotechnical, transport, infrastructure, marine, oil and other energy issues.
He has substantial international experience, in particular in the Middle-East, the Far-East and in Ireland, where he has serviced a caseload for several years. He has been involved in numerous complex and high value claims including leading the defence team for the engineer on the Wembley Stadium dispute in what was then the largest construction claim ever in the TCC. He has also advised on numerous coverage issues and has drafted several suites of policy wordings.
With over seventeen years of practice as a litigator, Ronan has extensive international commercial litigation experience in a broad range of matters including professional negligence claims against construction professionals, managing agents, brokers, medical professionals and surveyors as well as D&O insurance.
Ronan started his career working as a commercial and civil law barrister in Ireland dealing with high value professional negligence claims. Ronan subsequently worked as an Attorney in the Turks and Caicos Islands (a British Overseas Territory) as a senior litigator on behalf of the Government. In that role, he acted for and advised the Government on a range of matters including personal injury litigation, catastrophic matters, judicial review, construction disputes, regulatory issues and employment law matters.
Ronan returned to Dublin in 2016 after working for two years in a London law firm in the area of commercial litigation. Prior to joining Caytons in Dublin, Ronan spent almost three years working in a Dublin-based international law firm dealing with professional indemnity and commercial litigation claims.

Stephen obtained a bachelor's honours degree in Law from Dublin City University (DCU), and he has successfully passed the Law Society of Ireland's FE-1 exams.
Stephen is currently a Paralegal with Caytons, and his role includes providing support to the legal team in defending claims against various professionals including insurance brokers, architects, engineers and other construction professionals in the Irish Courts, Scottish Court of Session and in the Courts of England and Wales. Stephen also carries out general administrative duties for the Irish office.
