Computer Concepts was founded in Lafayette, Louisiana as a part-time business venture in February 1999 by Tim Thousand. After a year of working out of his home, and holding down a full time job with another employer, Tim decided that it was time to take it to the next level. Computer Concepts moved into its first commercial office space in Lafayette's Oil Center in the summer of 2000 and hired its first full-time employee shortly thereafter.
