DANIEL C. FLANSCHA

DANIEL C. FLANSCHA, CFP®, CLU®, ChFC® has been in financial services for over 30 years. He started in the industry following graduation from Iowa State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree to teach. Across the country he has served people with personal financial planning, retirement, business and estate planning. He worked with a Fortune 500 company for 21 years serving in a variety of roles including a position among the top 100 leaders. Throughout his career, Dan has been a part of the planning process for thousands of families. Dan is passionate about teaching, mentoring, and educating people about the behavior of money. He feels strongly about a holistic financial approach versus trying to convince someone that one product will solve all their financial needs. He very much believes in tailoring a plan to fit the individual household or business situation. Today Dan is one of roughly 5,000 practitioners across the U.S. who utilize a macroeconomic process to help individuals organize, coordinate and shape personal finances. He does this through his own business - Longs Peak Financial. Dan serves as adjunct professor for CPE4U Colorado (formerly part of the University of Denver). He teaches classes on retirement income planning, Social Security, tax strategies, macro-economic principles, business strategies and insurance. Dan holds CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU) designations. He is life and health insurance licensed along with securities licenses: FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 66. He works with investments as an Investment Advisor Representative.

Dennis is a Southern California native and graduated from National University in San Diego with a Bachelor of Computer Science. He and his wife Kendall relocated to Utah in 1991. They are the parents of eight children and have sixteen grandchildren. His hobbies include golf and trail running.

Jason E. Palmer

Jason Palmer began his advisory career managing national market research projects while attending Brigham Young University, where he graduated Cum Laude in Humanities and Business Management. He has more than twelve years of experience helping clients achieve their full financial potential and make confident financial decisions. He is the founder and president of Resonant Financial Planning ™ and has been part of the One Financial Advisors team since 2010. Jason is a Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative of OneAmerica Securities, Inc. In addition to being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional, he is also a licensed insurance producer, and a LEAP® Licensed Practitioner. He devotes considerable time to the cause of financial education and is an 8 Pillars Trained Financial Professional™. He and his wife Rachel live in Highland, Utah with their five children. When he is not working or spending time with his family, he can usually be found singing with a choral group, playing just about any sport, reading a good book, or enjoying the outdoors.

Matthew joined our team in 2020. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Personal Financial Planning at Utah Valley University. He started school as an engineer but quickly found that his passion and drive were in finance. He emphasizes helping others collect, create, and maintain balance in their financial lives. Matthew finds a specific interest in behavioral finance. He helps clients understand the what and why of their emotions throughout their investing lives.

Mike Openshaw

After graduating from the University of Utah, Mike began his professional career as a CPA with Deloitte. He worked in the Salt Lake City office for 10 years and attained the level of senior manager. While there, Mike specialized in banking, state and local government, and hospitals. After leaving Deloitte, he worked in the private industry as a controller, CFO, and Director of Finance in various companies including the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics, Boart Longyear, and Central Logic. Mike developed many skills, chief among them being a problem solver. He was asked to head a number of process improvement teams during his time in the private industry. In 2016, Mike changed his focus to the Retirement Preparation industry and focuses on pension plans. Mike has assisted numerous clients to establish pension plans that provided both a tax deduction and a sizable retirement benefit for the owners of the companies.

Oliver Schreiber

Even though we would like to claim that Oliver joined us from Germany, he has lived in Utah for over 30 years with his wife and three wonderful children. As a first-generation immigrant to Utah, his German heritage and accent are distinctly recognizable. Oliver holds a life and health insurance license with the State of Utah since 2013 and is also licensed in multiple surrounding states. He works with his clients on retirement income strategies-including self-created personal pensions and Social Security benefits optimization, long-term care protection, and Medicare-related insurance. More recently, he has joined forces with other OFA team members to design financial solutions for small-employer and self-employed individuals to protect ongoing and future benefits for their business and family legacies. Oliver, alongside his family, enjoys traveling, hiking, and unwinding at beautiful beaches. He is also passionate about playing, watching, and coaching his favorite sport-real football (soccer).

Brad has performed as a financial professional to business owners, key executives and select individuals for over 26 years. He is an Associate General Agent with One Financial Network. and a licensed CPA with experience in both audit and corporate financial management. With an extensive background in both direct client relationship building and in insurance and securities compliance, he is committed to the principle that the financial professional's role is to assist clients in making solid financial decisions themselves. Terry has had his heart broken by his beloved Utes too many times to count, but rationalizes that the journey is more important than the destination. He has had to swallow his Crimson pride somewhat now that his grown children and wife have Cougar roots, but his heart remains pure. He golfs badly, and enjoys great writing in books, movies, TV, and historical biographies.
