Pink vinyl was introduced to the public in the early 1980's. Pink vinyl remained for three years before the color white became the dominant hue for pressed products. As the industry moved toward multi-color and white vinyl, pink slowly dropped off in popularity... So what were these things in the past, and where did they come from? Collectable items such as comic books (which were most likely colored in some form), sports cards, baseball cards, and especially colored vinyl records seem to have risen in popularity over the past five years or so.
