Throughout his career, Ian has had the privilege of working for small and multi-national organisations in both insurance broking and underwriting, which has given him a vast breadth of knowledge across the industry.
His career highlights include being one of the most successful business development executives in the sales team at JLT whilst he was there from 2005-2008 and helping to establish the UK regional network of a multi-national US carrier. Having joined Miles Smith in 2018, a real highlight for Ian has been playing a pivotal part in the development of SRG. He set up our Portfolio Management team and has served on the Group ExCom since its inception in 2019.
Ian is passionate about diversity and equality and seeing people and the business succeed in terms of growth and hitting the numbers. His goal is to build a business where people enjoy working and have successful careers, as well as creating a workplace that people want to join and be part of.
As Managing Director, Ian leads MX from a business planning and budgetary perspective. His responsibilities include developing talent, looking for new opportunities to grow, both strategically and organically, and working with the Group ExCom to deliver the overall Group strategy.
Ian is a parent governor of a local secondary school where his daughters are educated, which gives him the ability to give back to his community and it has helped his daughters to develop. He is also extremely passionate about the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) after losing his mum to the illness and supports the charity in various ways through volunteering and fundraising.

Joe is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of experience at Board Level, mostly in Private Equity backed businesses. First becoming a Finance Director at the age of 28 for a buy-and-build software group, Joe has worked in a variety of sectors including Technology, Professional Services, Business Services and more recently Insurance. Joe joined the SRG Board in January 2022 and has since been through a steep learning curve in all aspects of insurance and insurance broking.
As CFO he provides critical analysis and strategic insight to the Board. Joe is passionate about growing businesses and building highly professional teams. He has a strong track record in developing world-class finance functions, raising equity and debt-capital, leading M&A and delivering international expansion.
Jonathan joined Specialist Risk Group to form the International broking division (SRI) as Managing Partner in 2021, he has 25 years of insurance market experience. Jonathan's focus has always been on creating high quality, professional environments with problem solving at the heart of them.
Accepting things are the way they are is not something that sits well with Jonathan. Throughout his career he has always been one to ask why? In striving to unpick the complicated and always question the status quo, he has developed a reputation for his ability to unlock intricate situations and is passionate about finding solutions by driving for transparency, encouraging continued focus on ‘the detail' and promoting the importance of resilience to reach the answers. None of this is possible without a team of knowledgeable, experienced, and determined people who are focussed on getting difficult things done and who fundamentally love what they do.
Jonathan's career has, above all, been distinguished by his ability to create such teams and bringing people together who thrive off providing solutions to complex problems.
Jonathan started his career as a Casualty broker at Marsh before moving to senior roles at JLT and Integro. Jonathan joined AFL in 2018 as Chief Commercial Officer and was appointed CEO in June 2019. There he focused on creating a high-performance environment that fostered exponential income and profit growth by focussing on internal discipline, building out teams and developing new and existing client relationships. Whilst in his role at AFL, Jonathan oversaw a doubling of income in 2 years alone.
Jonathan is a fanatic of all things sport, be that playing or spectating. He enjoys nothing more than spending time on football pitch side lines cheering on his sons, travelling far and wide to support them or even getting on the pitch himself. As a proud Welshman he is a passionate Welsh rugby fan and avid Swansea City supporter.
Jonathan is a keen golfer and padel player, the fastest growing sport in the world he is known to consistently remind everyone! When he isn't indulging his passion for sport Jonathan spends time attempting to switch off by playing chess, going to the cinema, or eating pizza. Jonathan loves to travel and experience new locations, always seeking out adventures and is never one to shy away from a challenge, a tendency that which very much reinforces his work ethos.

Lee is a proud and devoted father of two and the only achievement in his life that is utterly without fault! Next comes his love of cars and he has enjoyed racing all manner of marques over the years but particularly enjoys the thrill of classic cars (a European wide classic rally still on his bucket list).
Ollie joined SRG in October 2022 to lead the Group's retail pillar, Specialist Risk Insurance Solutions (SRIS). His experience and background made him the perfect person to drive SRIS into the next stage of its growth journey.
Ollie is a keen cook and one day would love to compete in MasterChef however, he is still practicing for now!

Warren's career spans only two companies! He spent 28 years at JLT and the remainder here at SRG as Group CEO. Throughout his career, Warren has been fortunate enough to hold senior leadership positions in London, Northern Europe (based in Stockholm) and Asia (based in Singapore).
Warren joined SRG as Group CEO in August 2019 and works with the executive team as we seek to build a business of consequence that we are proud to tell our friends and families about.
