Benjamin D. Hill

Dr. Hill is a practicing clinical neuropsychologist and associate professor of psychology at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL with a joint appointment in the Department of Neurosurgery at USA Medical Center. He earned a master's degree from Wake Forest University and his clinical doctoral degree from Louisiana State University. He completed his residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and clinical fellowship in neuropsychology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He is an active researcher whose interests broadly focus on psychometrics, police psychology, how affect and personality impact cognitive performance, the effect of metabolic inflammation on health, and intra-individual variability as a marker of neuropathology. Dr. Alan F. Friedman

Dr. Alan F. Friedman provides state of the art pre-employment and post-conditional hiring assessments for police/fire/dispatch personnel using the Matrix - Psychological Uniform Law Enforcement Selection Evaluation (M-PULSE©/M-FLAME©/M-RAD©) methodology specifically designed to identify potential liability areas such as excessive force, off-duty misconduct, unprofessional conduct, procedural mistakes, inappropriate vehicle and weapon use, property damage, sexually and racially offensive conduct, interpersonal difficulties, chemical dependency, potential for reprimand/suspension/resignation/termination, and lawsuit potential. Dr. Friedman also specializes in Fitness For Duty Evaluations for safety sensitive positions such as police and fire personnel, nuclear power plant operators, flight crews, air traffic controllers, and transportation operators. He regularly provides consultations to agencies and departments on sensitive referral matters and is considered a leading expert in the threat assessment of potentially dangerous employees. He routinely advises law enforcement agencies, corporations, and organizations of all sizes on security issues and risk management strategies. Dr. Friedman also provides training seminars to law enforcement executives and supervisors on detecting and managing "Officers at Risk." He is experienced as an expert witness and litigation consultant, both for the plaintiff and defendant regarding negligent hiring, retention, and supervision. Dr. Friedman has testified in a high profile case for a multibillion dollar corporation regarding sexual abuse in the workplace as well as in a highly publicized death penalty case. Recent and current clients include multiple law enforcement and fire departments, municipalities, hospitals, manufacturing and commercial companies, and financial institutions. Dr. Friedman has completed major projects establishing workplace violence prevention programs including policies and procedures for several multibillion dollar manufacturing companies. Dr. Friedman is an Associate Professor (since 1983) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University and is a Fellow in the Society for Personality Assessment. Dr. Friedman was previously the Chief Psychologist in charge of emergency services at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He is also a member of the American and Illinois Psychological Associations. He is the senior author of four highly acclaimed MMPI textbooks on psychological assessment and pre-employment screening which are frequently cited and used by practitioners and researchers around the country. Author of numerous professional articles, Dr. Friedman has written for various trade publications such as Security Management Bulletin and Security Watch. Relevant articles include "When and How to Evaluate Fitness for Duty" and "Lessons from Littleton". Dr. Friedman authored an invited chapter for the American Bar Association on threat assessment and fitness for duty evaluations. Dr. Friedman is also the senior author of a chapter published by John Wiley & Sons about suicide prediction in a book entitled Assessment, Treatment, and Prevention of Suicidal Behavior, and numerous other chapters and research articles. Dr. Friedman earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Cincinnati and interned at Ohio State University Medical School. He completed his Master's degree at California State University and received his undergraduate degree from the University of California.

Dr. Hugh Bryan

Dr. Hugh Bryan is a Licensed Psychologist. He completed his undergraduate work in psychology at Lousiana College and then completed a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Georgia. He then attended the University of Missouri at Columbia and completed a Ph.D. in counseling psychology. Dr. Bryan is the owner and founder of The Center for Family and Individual Counseling, Inc. which he opened in 1983. This is a private practice agency and provides services to a broad spectrum of client needs. Dr. Bryan specializes in providing family therapy, treating depression, anxiety, and chronic pain. He serves as the psychologist for the Alexandria Police Department and also provides pre-employment screenings and fitness for duty evalutations for policemen from various Central Lousiana law enforcement agencies. Dr. Bryan evaluates ministerial candidates for the State of Louisiana for the United Methodist Church and writes a quarterly article for the Louisiana Baptist Convention magazine, LBC Live, under the general heading of In Search of Understanding. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, Biofeedback Society of America, National Rehabilitation Association, International Association of the Chiefs of Police and the American Christian Counselors Association. Dr. Bryan has been married for 33 years and has three children and two grandchildren.

Dr. Kerry E. Kimball

Dr. Kerry E. Kimball is a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Maine. He completed a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern Maine. He then attended the University of Maine at Orono and completed an Ed.D. in Counselor Education. Dr. Kimball has been in practice as a psychologist since 1986. Dr. Kimball is the owner and founder of Southwestern Maine Clinical Associates PA. This is a private practice agency, which over the years has provided a range of mental health and substance abuse services in southern Maine. For the past fifteen years Dr. Kimball has maintained a contract with the Maine State Forensic Service providing a range of psychological evaluations and risk assessments to the criminal court. In addition He also has contracted with the civil court to provide risk assessments regarding child maltreatment and for the last five years and is a provider in the court's Child Abuse Evaluator's Program. He has provided education and training to the District Courts in Maine regarding such issues as risk assessment and the impact of mental illness on parenting. Dr. Kimball has taught on the graduate and undergraduate levels at both the University of Maine at Orono and the University of Southern Maine in Gorham. He currently provides services to the York County Sheriff's Department, The York County Jail, The Two Bridges Regional Correctional Facility and the Oxford County Sheriff's Department providing pre-employment screenings and fitness for duty evaluations. Dr. Robert W. Lamson, PhD has worked in the private sector as a clinical psychologist for over 20 years, helping individuals, couples, and families. During the last 15 years he has become increasingly involved in law enforcement, public safety, and forensics. He is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, Psychological Services Section, and a member of the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police. Dr. Robert W. Joseph E. Comaty

Joseph E. Comaty received his M.S. in experimental psychology from Villanova University; his Ph.D. in psychology with a specialization in clinical neuropsychology from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, in Illinois; and his postdoctoral Masters Degree in clinical psychopharmacology from Alliant University/CSPP of California. He is a licensed psychologist under the Louisiana State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (LSBEP) and a licensed Medical Psychologist (i.e., prescribing psychologist) under the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. He retired from the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, Office of Behavioral Health in 2013 where he was the Chief Psychologist and Medical Psychologist and Director of the Division of Quality Management. He has been an adjunct assistant professor in psychology at Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge from 1994 to 2017 and serves as emeritus faculty of the Southern Louisiana Internship Consortium (SLIC) in psychology at LSU. He served as member of the LSBEP from 2006 to 2010 and as its chair from 2010 to 2011. He is a past charter member of the APA Designation Committee for Postdoctoral Education and Training Programs in Psychopharmacology for Prescriptive Authority from 2010 to 2014 and as its chair from 2013 to 2014; and is a current site reviewer for APA's Committee on Accreditation. He is a member of the Model Act and Regulation Revision Committee for the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB). His research is in the areas of behavior therapy, pharmacology, and clinical psychopharmacology. He is the author of over 60 articles, book chapters, and presentations. He is a co-author of the psychopharmacology textbook, Julien's Primer of Drug Action, the most recent edition being published in April 2014. Robert D. Davis

Robert D. Davis, Ph.D., M.P. was a licensed Medical Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, and Clinical Neuropsychologist in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was president of RD Associates, LLC, a largely forensic private practice, and a partner of Matrix, Inc., the Police Psychological Services Corporation. He was Board Certified in Medical Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Forensic Neuropsychology, and Police Psychology. Dr. Davis was nationally known for the development of inferential statistical models for the actuarial prediction of discrete liabilities in law enforcement. He served as the senior author of the M-PULSE© (Matrix-Psychological Uniform Law Enforcement Selection Evaluation) Methodology, a comprehensive post-offer actuarial assessment predicting each of the 18 liabilities in law enforcement. He was also the senior author of M-PULSE© (Matrix-Predictive Uniform Law Enforcement Selection Evaluation) Inventory, a stand-alone screening test for the pre-offer phase of officer selection that can be used for rank-ordering potential candidates, be included as part of a post-offer battery of testing for Police Psychologists utilizing impressionistic decision-making models, or even included as part of the broader actuarial battery of the M-PULSE© Methodology. Dr. Davis was also a graduate of LSU's 147th Law Enforcement Basic Training Academy, and provided numerous professional services to a myriad of agencies including law enforcement selection, critical incident/stress debriefing and diffusion, fitness for duty evaluations, officer advisory programs, and executive consultation. He was the junior author of A Handbook for Psychological Fitness-for-Duty Evaluations in Law Enforcement (Haworth Press, 2004), and more than two dozen peer-reviewed publications in Police Psychology.
