The Neuromuscular Lab, led by Paul S. Cederna, M.D., Stephen Kemp, Ph.D., and Theodore A. Kung, M.D., is uniting biotechnology and surgical science... As we continue to live, work, and learn on these lands, we must recognize they remain the homeland of many indigenous people. Through these words of acknowledgment, we seek to reaffirm the vital contributions of indigenous people in our institutional history and respect their contemporary and ancestral ties to this land... As one of the oldest programs of our kind in the country, we make a big impact across the tripartite mission of academic surgery, striving to offer the best care and the best education, and to produce the most impactful scientific advances. We have a track record of steady growth that allows us to reach more patients and to provide a rich context of diverse cases for trainees and researchers.
