Developed groundbreaking FDA-cleared products including current molecular tests for safety screening of the U.S. blood supply (HIV, HCV, HBV, West Nile virus) and launched the APTIMA molecular diagnostics platform with the first FDA-cleared combined chlamydia and gonorrhea molecular test. Participated in the deployment of pioneering mobile HIV / CD4 diagnostics for low resource settings in Sub-Saharan Africa. Deep experience advancing several synthetic biology and genetic engineering technologies, as well as first-in-class gene-edited and genetically engineered products regulated by FDA, USDA, and EPA. Dedicated to developing medicines, biothreat detection systems, and environmental interventions aimed at improving global public health and biosecurity.
