The QEP research activities started in the early 60s from a collaboration between Prof. Sergio Martellucci and Prof. Carlo Bellecci in the field of laser systems development for nuclear fusion research. Today the group is coordinated by Dr. Pasquale Gaudio and the research activities spreads from nuclear fusion to laser systems for indoor and outdoor monitoring and research activities on environment, energy and safety and security
