Dr. Aarman Rahim was born and raised in the Tri - Cities. Dr. Rahim received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Sydney. Previously, he studied at Simon Fraser University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Health Science and a Certificate in Liberal Arts.
Dr. Rahim is dedicated to educating and providing his patients with the latest evidence-based treatment, in an efficient and comfortable setting. He is highly proficient, and detail orientated which has led to comfortable and satisfied patient experiences.
When not in the clinic, Dr. Rahim enjoys spending his time outdoors hiking the beautiful terrain British Columbia has to offer as well as making music.
Dr. Maria Tugbang studied Psychology and Dentistry at the University of British Columbia, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1990 and later a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1994.
She enjoys dentistry and participates in many continuing education programs to update her skills. She has trained with some of the world's most prominent cosmetic dentists.
Dr. Miriam Berlin received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University. She graduated with a concentration in aesthetic dentistry and was inducted into Omnicron Kappa Upsilon, an exclusive national dental honor society for being in the top 7% of her graduating class. Previously, she studied at University of British Columbia where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology.
Dr. Berlin is passionate about providing exceptional patient care that is not only functional but aesthetic as well. She is personable, empathetic, detail oriented and gentle and has built long lasting relationships with many of her patients. She is devoted to improving herself by taking continuing education courses in all aspects of the field.
She is an active member of American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Spear Education, Canadian Dental Association, American Dental Association, and British Columbia Dental Association.
She speaks English, Russian, and Hebrew.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as biking, skiing, and exploring beautiful British Columbia.
Born in Alberta and now residing in Vancouver, Dr. Shafiq Kara graduated as the Valedictorian from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario in 2004. He has since been practicing in downtown Vancouver, Langley, and Coquitlam with the goal of providing the highest quality of personalized dental care.
Dr. Kara's special interests are in complex smile design, advanced reconstruction, rehabilitative and sedation dentistry. He has devoted countless hours to continuing education every year, travelling across North America to learn from the best cosmetic, restorative and specialist dentists. Dr.Kara has trained at the prestigious Spear Scottsdale Centre for Dentistry, studied cosmetic smile design and veneer placement under New York celebrity dentists Lituchy & Lowenberg, and at the world-renowned Kois Center in Seattle. The Spear and Kois Center are widely recognized as two of the most elite dental training facilities in restorative, esthetic and prosthodontic dentistry in the world.
As a working fellowship member of the Doctors of Conscious Sedation Organization he has been providing safe and comfortable oral sedation dentistry for the past seven years.
Since 2005, Dr Kara has provided Invisalign® and Invisalign Teen® . He is a clinical instructor at UBC dental school, and is also the team dentist for the Langley Rivermen Junior A Hockey Club. He has also worked in an outreach dental clinic in Vancouver providing dental services to the underprivileged.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Kara enjoys hockey, golf and travelling to new places. He loves to spend time with his wife Zahra, close friends and family.
