I earned a doctorate in executive leadership with a focus on social justice, the pinnacle of a long career consulting, teaching and volunteering. That same year, I was stunned by the news I had cancer. I spent years studying, writing and conducting research, then quickly pivoted to focus on treatment, recovery and survival... My experiences led me down a path I never planned to travel, yet it is on that byway when one realizes what really matters, and who you really are. My life's work now focuses on helping others with what I learned through my academic study, my professional practice, and as a survivor... My personal mission is to support those whose lives have been upended through my leadership, scholarship and involvement. In addition to an EdD, I have and MBA and certification in Executive Coaching. Personally, my sidekick, Madison, a Schnoodle rescue dog who lives with me in NYC, continues to inspire me from her journey to get to me and start her new life.
