Allen Proithis

Allen Proithis is the CEO of Capstone Partners, a strategic advisory firm for clients in the mobile, IoT, software and technology industries. Capstone provides strategic advisory, ecosystem development and market insights to help early stage to publicly traded companies accelerate time to market and revenue growth. Prior to Capstone, Allen was the President of Sigfox, North America, where he created a high-performance team that built an Internet of Things business with top enterprise companies and verticals while providing wireless coverage for over 70M people in the US. As part of these activities, Allen represented Sigfox with media outlets (CNBC, Fortune, Forbes, WSJ) and industry analysts (Machina Research, IHS, Gartner, Ovum, ABI Research) on IoT topics. Prior to Sigfox, he created a $155M IoT joint venture (Convida Wireless) with Sony, InterDigital and Stephens Capital and served as Chairman. In 2014, Allen raised $15M to launch an Internet of Things spinout focused on accelerating value produced by the data generated by IoT. At InterDigital, Allen oversaw all market development activities, including the commercialization of IoT, Wi-Fi, shared spectrum and video content management solutions. Previously, Allen was the Head of Mobile Strategy & Business Development for HP's global Smartphone & Tablet division. In this role, he drove all strategic initiatives for devices, software and services, including the launch of HP's first mobile app store.

Andrew Parker

Andrew is the Internet of Things Marketing Director for the GSMA and global media spokesperson for IoT, 5G and business transformation. Andrew has over 30 years of marketing and product management experience in the telecommunications industry. Since 2011, Andrew has worked with the GSMA Internet of Things Programme, initially directing the 2m global industry Connected Life marketing campaign promoting the early growth and development of the M2M market with industry partners Ericsson, Qualcomm and the GSMA. Andrew has been instrumental in developing collaborative GSMA industry marketing activities including the successful Mobile IoT campaign, Innovation City technology experiential marketing, the global Mobile IoT Summit series and the Intelligent Connectivity campaign. Andrew regularly presents on key IoT industry subjects such as global adoption of IoT specifications, development of 5G, AI, Big Data, eSIM and, since 2013, has been on the Editorial Advisory Board of the industry magazine IoT NOW. Before joining the GSMA Andrew developed and managed mobile content services for both Nokia and 3UK, Hutchison Whampoa. Joining 3UK in 2001, Andrew developed and product managed a range of pioneering new mobile entertainment services utilising the 3G network. Previously, Andrew set up and managed innovative and successful new premium rate billing services for Mercury Communications and Cable & Wireless.

Dr. Dirk Slama

Dr. Dirk Slama is the Director of the Steinbeis FSTI Co-innovation Hub. In this role, he is working with large enterprises and start-ups on go-to-market strategies for smart, connected products utilizing AIoT. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Ignite AIoT Framework. In his additional role as Vice President at Robert Bosch GmbH, he is focusing on Co-innovation and IT/IoT Alliances. In his previous role as Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), he helped creating the leading ecosystem for the Industrial Internet. Dirk has 25 years experience in very large-scale IT projects, Enterprise Application Integration, Business Process Management, IoT and Cyber-Physical Systems. His international work experience includes projects for Audi, Daimler, Lufthansa, Boeing, AT&T, NTT DoCoMo, HBOS and others. Dirk is a frequent keynote speaker at conferences, as well as co-author of four successful books: Enterprise BPM, Enterprise SOA, Enterprise CORBA, and Enterprise IoT. He holds an MBA from IMD Lausanne as well as a PhD in Information Systems and a Diploma (MSc equivalent) in Computer Science from TU Berlin.

Jim Morrish

Jim is a respected Digital Transformation and Internet of Things industry expert, with over 20 years' experience of strategy consulting, operations management and telecoms research. Previously he was a Founder and the Chief Research Officer of Machina Research, the world's leading IoT analyst firm, which was acquired by Gartner in 2016. Jim is responsible for the addition of the term Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) networking to the lexicon of the IoT, and is a co-author of the Ignite|IoT project management framework for IoT and the accompanying book entitled "Enterprise IoT". He is an experienced conference speaker including for blue chip events such as the IET's Pinkerton Lecture, and the GSMA's Mobile World Congress. Jim was until recently Co-Chair of the Digital Transformation Working Group of the Industrial Internet Consortium. Additionally, he is a member of the advisory boards for a number of digital transformation industry conferences and is a Member of the Global Advisory Board of the IET's Future Technology Panel. Matt Arnott

At Gartner Matt led and supported large IoT, semiconductor and telecommunications consulting engagements. Before this he worked in the commodities industry advising on regulation, pricing and purchase strategies for companies trading in the EMEA steel and conflict minerals market. Matt has a degree in Physics from the University of Leeds.
