After medical school, Dr. Culotta completed his residency training in ophthalmology at Louisiana State University. During his residency, Louisiana was devastated by hurricane Katrina. Dr. Culotta was one of the first responders. He was uniquely qualified to help address the thousands of ocular injuries that were seen in the aftermath. Following this dramatic experience, he chose again to help the people of New Orleans by completing a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship in the area with renowned retina pioneer, Dr. Kurt Gitter. Dr. Culotta became board-certified in ophthalmology in 2009. Dr. Culotta has special interest in macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, and vitreoretinal interface abnormalities, such as epiretinal membranes and macular holes. Dr. Culotta is a pioneer in the treatment of advanced diabetic macular edema and complex macular degeneration. He has worked extensively at developing novel algorithms for layering laser photocoagulation into treatment paradigms of intravitreal Avastin injections for patients with recalcitrant diabetic edema. At the Retina Institute, Dr. Culotta is the head of the advanced laser therapeutics lab investigating new treatment protocols for neovascular diseases. Drew is Acuity's Chief Legal Officer. After graduating from UCLA School of Law, he joined Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where he worked on global antitrust investigations related to LIBOR and the foreign exchange markets. In that capacity, Drew spent considerable time in Zurich, Munich, London, Hong Kong and Singapore. Eager to develop courtroom and trial skills, Drew later joined the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office as a Deputy District Attorney. While there, he prosecuted a variety of crimes, including gang shootings, business fraud, and first-degree murder. Drew later returned to the private sector and was recruited to join the partnership of Allen Matkins LLP, one of California's premier law firms. This is where he saw firsthand Acuity's mission to improve healthcare through the use of technology and outstanding patient care. Prior to joining Acuity, Sheri was the Credentialing Manager for Concentra a nationwide leader in occupational and urgent care medicine where she oversaw the day-to-day activities of the company's credentialing team. Prior to Concentra she was the Provider Relations Manager for U.S. HealthWorks Medical Group where she successfully managed provider onboarding and credentialing for more than 1300 physicians and mid-levels nationwide. In her spare time Sheri enjoys traveling, hiking, skiing and most importantly spending time with her 2 children, family and close friends. Sulki Han

Dr. Han is a board-certified doctor of optometry who provides comprehensive eye exams and vision correction, including eyeglasses and contact lenses. She also offers diagnostic testing for medical eye conditions such as dry eye, age-related macular degeneration, and glaucoma. Dedicated to continually advancing her knowledge of the advancements in optometry, Dr. Han regularly attends informational workshops on innovative new technologies and practices in eye care. A graduate of University of Houston College of Optometry, Dr. Han also attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Physiological Science. She completed her clinical externships in ocular disease at Raymond G. Murphy VA Health Care System in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Dr. Han has also performed volunteer work at the Guerrero Clinic in Mexico, providing optometric services to underprivileged patients as a student volunteer. Dr. Chang is an internationally renowned clinician, surgeon and educator. He received his MD from the University of Toronto Medical School and his ophthalmology residency training from the University of Western Ontario. He completed three fellowships in retinal diseases: an ophthalmic pathology fellowship from the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University, a macular disease fellowship with Dr. Donald Gass at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute of the University of Miami, and a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta. Upon completion of his training, Dr. Chang was Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of British Columbia for five years and then an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Doheny Eye Institute for six years where he was Director of the Retina Fellowship. In November 2005, he founded the Retina Institute of California (RIC). Dr. Chang was part of the team that performed the world's first surgical implantation of stem cell treatment for dry macular degeneration, which was in collaboration with the Johnson & Johnson Stem Cell organization. To date, the doctors at RIC have performed more sub-retinal stem cell surgeries than any other center in the world.
