Carolyn C. Allison, MPH, joined Charlotte Community Health Clinic in 2016. Carolyn brings over thirty years of health care administrative experience to CCHC, including over eighteen years managing community health centers. She earned her Masters in Public Health with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from the University of Illinois. Carolyn also founded Creative Health Care Consultants, which provides consulting services to community health centers across the country. Ms. Allison is the proud recipient of The Network Journal Business Magazine-Top 25 Influential Black Women Award (national search) and is active in local, state, and federal healthcare coalitions and associations.

Ophelia Garmon-Brown, M.D., M.Div. and Nancy Hudson co-founded the clinic in 2000 alongside a group of committed volunteers. Nancy Hudson continued to lead the clinic up to and through its transition from a free clinic to a community health center. A lifelong healthcare leader and visionary, Dr. Garmon-Brown currently serves at senior vice president and chief community wellness and health equity executive for Novant Health.

Joanne Tyo joined CCHC as our Chief Financial Officer in 2022. Prior to CCHC, Joanne has served as Vice President of Finance, CFO, and Controller at various medical organizations in the Mecklenburg area. She brings a wealth of financial knowledge, leadership skills, and technical proficiency to the team.
Dr. Kumari Ramesh, MD, joined Charlotte Community Health Clinic in 2023. Dr. Ramesh brings over twenty years of experience in the medical field, holding positions such as Executive Medical Director, Chief of Wound Care, Primary Care Provider, etc. She earned her medical degree at Tirunelvelli Medical College and Hospital in India and completed various residencies in India and New York. Dr. Ramesh is part of the American College of Physicians and American Geriatrics Society. Her specialties include internal and geriatric medicine. Dr. Ramesh is passionate about helping underserved populations.
Lisa Holmes (BSN, MSN, FNP) became the Chief Operating Officer of CCHC in 2016. Lisa has over twenty five years of experience in nursing and clinical management. She also brings extensive experience in Quality Improvement and Practice Management Consulting in healthcare. Prior to coming to CCHC, she served as Health System Coordinator for the North Carolina Public Health Foundation for their Diabetes Prevention and Control Program.
