Dr. Delores M. Richardson has worked for the past 25 years developing and operating faith-based nonprofits. She specializes in creating year-round programs for vulnerable students. Richardson has worked with churches and nonprofit organizations to help them organize community-based programs to provide a continuum (an unbroken series) of academic and enrichment supports for at-risk children, youth, and adults. She also led in the development of a charter school that used the Marva Collins Teaching Methodologies to develop leaders in urban settings.
An ordained minister, Dr. Richardson is a theological writer. She was recruited by Thomas Nelson Publishers to be one of the contributing writers for its Women's Study Bible, now in its third publication. She also wrote adult Sunday school literature for a major publishing company.
Dr. Richardson is a skilled preacher/teacher who conducts retreats and workshops on various topics. She facilitates small groups to discuss racial reconciliation in the body of Christ.
A North Carolina native, Dr. Richardson holds an undergraduate degree in professional English from North Carolina A&T State University, a Master of Divinity from Shaw University Divinity School, and a Doctor of Education Degree from Northcentral University.
She has one daughter and one granddaughter.
