MARBLE

Mertika Marble LTD was established in 1978, with a Subsidiary Company Kouros Ltd. in 1997. It owns two quarries, one is the "White Marble Panagias SA" quarry licensed in 1985, total area covered 500,000 square meters, and the other one is the "Imathia-Kastania" quarry licensed in 2008, total area covered 400,000 square meters with exclusiveness in Apollo marble. The quarries that belong to the Mertika Marble Group produce White and Semi White marble. They are located in Northern Greece, which is the most productive area in extraction of white marble worldwide. The Imathia-Kastania quarry produces the WHITE APOLLO MARBLE, which in terms of petrographic characteristics, purity, consistency, breakage, friction and resistance is one of the finest Greek marble comparable to the ancient Pentelic Stone.
