Arjun Ishwar

Arjun Ishwar joined Miach Orthopaedics as vice president of sales and marketing in 2022. He brings extensive experience in corporate strategic planning and execution, sales and marketing leadership and commercialization combined with a technical background in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Ishwar has held various commercial leadership roles within the medical device industry. Prior to joining Miach, he served as chief commercial officer of MY01. Previously, he spent nearly 10 years in roles of increasing responsibility at ACell, a regenerative medicine company focused on the reconstruction of acute injuries, where in his last position as senior director and general manager he was responsible for overseeing the commercial and pipeline strategies for the wound management portfolio - the company's largest and strongest growing franchise - as well as surgical markets. Earlier in his career, he served in multiple sales and marketing roles for Integra Lifesciences focused within its trauma and burn reconstruction business. He earned his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in biomedical engineering from Purdue University.

Christopher Joyce - CFO

Christopher Joyce joined Miach Orthopaedics as vice president and chief financial officer in 2021. He brings more than 30 years of experience in managing all aspects of finance and operations from a firm's inception through commercialization via his work with three venture backed startups and public NYSE company. He has raised over $2 billion of public and private debt and equity, including two public offerings and over $200 million of venture financing. Joyce has a proven track record as a partner to the CEO, raising capital; building teams; negotiating deals; managing accounting, tax, human resources and legal; and building an operational infrastructure. For two years prior to joining Miach, he served as a consulting CFO for several biotech and medical device startups. Prior to that, he was on the founding teams as CFO of FRX Polymers, a material science company, and two medical device companies, Elemé Medical and Percardia. Joyce started his career with XTRA Corporation, a NYSE company, serving his last seven years as vice president and treasurer. He earned his master of business administration degree from Babson College and his bachelor of business degree from the University of Massachusetts.

Fernando Pacheco

Fernando Pacheco is an investment director at Endeavour Vision focused on medical technology, digital health, and diagnostics investments, with a particular focus on orthopaedics, robotics, general surgery, dental, ophthalmology, ENT and GI. In addition to Miach, he is currently a board observer at Virtual Incision Corporation and was a board observer of Sophia Genetics (NAS:SOPH) up until its IPO in July 2021. Previously, Fernando was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company and an R&D engineer at Stryker Orthopaedics. He has a master's degree in biomedical engineering from Imperial College London and ETH Zurich.

Kristine Ilaria

Kristine Ilaria is a seasoned healthcare executive with experience leading strategy, finance and acquisitions. She currently works at Smith & Nephew as vice president of corporate development. Previously, she worked at Stryker in a variety of roles across its orthopaedics businesses.

Marc-André Marcotte

Marc-André Marcotte is a deal partner in Sectoral's venture capital group, focusing on medical technology private equity investments. He also oversees the firm's operations and is a member of the management committee. Prior to Sectoral, Marcotte has over eight years of experience in the development of medical devices. He graduated from Sherbrooke University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Engineering and completed a Master of Business Administration at HEC Montreal in 2003. He obtained his CFA charter in 2010.

Michael O'Hara

Michael O'Hara joined Miach Orthopaedics as vice president of quality assurance in 2019. For nearly seven years, he served as senior director of quality assurance for TransMedics, Inc., where he led premarket approval (PMA) submissions for two products and oversaw U.S. Food and Drug Administration manufacturing inspections. O'Hara has more than 23 years of experience in compliance, product quality, quality systems and customer satisfaction. Prior to joining TransMedics, he served as director of global quality assurance for ABIOMED, where he was responsible for the strategic planning and organizational development of the global quality team and led successful, unannounced FDA and PMDA inspections. He has also served in quality leadership roles at Medtronic and Baxter. O'Hara is a certified quality engineer, a certified lead auditor, and a certified Lean (Six) Sigma Green Belt. He holds a master of science in bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a bachelor of science in biomedical engineering from Marquette University in Milwaukee.

Patrick McBrayer - CEO, President

Patrick McBrayer joined Miach Orthopaedics as president and chief executive officer in 2022. He has more than 35 years of experience leading companies in orthopaedics and regenerative medicine and has also been an advisor to medical device companies in spine, orthopaedics and biotechnology. McBrayer has served as president and CEO of multiple companies in the orthopaedic and regenerative medicine industries and brings a wealth of experience in both private equity placements and public offerings. Prior to joining Miach, McBrayer served as president and CEO of ACell, AxioMed Spine Corporation, Exogen and Osteotech; CEO of Xylos Corporation; and co-founder of Transave (now Insmed). He is a recipient of the Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award for a market-leading biological implant for bone repair. Earlier in his career, McBrayer held positions of increasing responsibility for Johnson & Johnson, Inc. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and served as an Infantry Officer Company Commander in the U.S. Army prior to beginning his business career.

Pieter Wolters

Pieter Wolters has served as managing director at DSM Venturing since 2012 and also serves on the boards of directors of Interface Biologics, Bio2 Technologies, Frontier Nutrition, Leading Edge Crystal Technologies, and until the recent acquisition by Teleflex, Essential Medical. Before DSM, he was a repeat life science startup entrepreneur, including co-founder and CEO of OrthAlign and IsoTis OrthoBiologics. Rita Paparazzo

Rita Paparazzo, MBA, joined Miach Orthopaedics as senior director of clinical operations in 2019. She has a demonstrated history of working in the biotechnology industry and a strong background in orthopedics, serving in various clinical and research roles at Boston Biomedical Associates since 2009. There, she successfully led all aspects of clinical operations and executed clinical trials, including an investigational device exemption trial from its inception through to the product's PMA. Prior to joining Boston Biomedical, she served in senior research and operations roles at Inverness Medical/Biosite Inc., where she managed clinical studies from start to finish. Earlier in her career, she supported research and operations at Pfizer and Avecia Biotechnology. Paparazzo holds a master of business administration from Regis University and bachelor of science in biotechnology from Worcester State College.

Sean Sansiveri

Sean Sansiveri serves as CEO of OneTeam Partners, the only company in sports that specializes in the collective licensing rights of athletes of more than 10,000 professional and college athletes. Prior to OneTeam, Sean directed the NFL Players Association's health, safety and medical research initiatives, including implementation of standardized protocols governing the evaluation and management of concussions and a long-term research partnerships with Harvard Medical School and the Cleveland Clinic. He is also an adjunct professor for Georgetown University, School of Continuing Studies.

Stephen Wohlert

Stephen Wohlert, PhD, joined Miach Orthopaedics as vice president of manufacturing in 2020. He is an experienced leader with a successful track record of transferring concepts to product development and commercialization, and he possesses unique expertise in collagen manufacturing processes. Dr. Wohlert brings more than 15 years of experience in medical device and over-the-counter drug concept and product development. Most recently he served as director of research and development at Professional Disposable International (PDI) in Montvale, New Jersey. Additional experience includes director of research and development positions at Medtronic/Covidien in Trévoux, France, and North Haven, Connecticut, and project leader at Ethicon Norderstedt in Germany. He holds a doctorate degree in chemistry from the Technical University of Aachen in Germany and a master's degree in chemistry from Christian Albrecht University of Kiel in Germany.
