Dr. Malcolm Boone opened the first Mile High Dental & Implant Center location in 1979 in Denver's Uptown neighborhood. His vision is to offer complete dental and implant services in a relaxed, comfortable, patient-friendly environment. Dr. Malcolm Boone was one of the, if not the first, dental and implant centers in Denver offering general services in one location. He soon realized that offering more than one location would help make an already great concept even more convenient for his patients. Today our team continues to specialize in implants and our board certified team includes prosthodontists who have specialized training to reconstruct a dental patient's mouth with dental implants, crowns, bridges, veneers, or dentures. Dr. Michael Woodbeck was born and raised in northern British Columbia, Canada. He attended the University of Northern British Columbia for his undergraduate education in chemistry and, upon graduation, moved to Vancouver, BC to complete his dental training at the University of British Columbia and joined the Canadian Armed Forces while completing his dental education. Upon graduation with his Doctor of Dental Medicine, Dr. Woodbeck was fortunate enough to be stationed at a number of different military bases across Canada including Halifax, NS; Moose Jaw, SK and Edmonton, AB. While serving in the military, he received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and was a member of the dental forensic identification team. After 5 years as general dentistry, Dr. Woodbeck decided to further his education and completed a six-year combined oral & maxillofacial surgery specialty training and medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Michael Woodbeck moved to Colorado with his wife, Alison, who is actively involved in the startup tech industry. In his free time, he enjoys ultimate frisbee, and snowboarding, and is an avid mountain biker.

Dr. Zachar obtained his bachelor's degree in science at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. He then continued his education at the University of Iowa; obtaining his doctor of dental surgery degree. During his dental education, Dr. Zachar received the Academy of General Dentistry student of the year award, the Duane Schmidt practice management award and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry award. Following his dental school training, Dr. Zachar completed a one-year AEGD residency at Sheppard, AFB and obtained his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Wilford Hall Medical Center and San Antonio Military Medical Center. He has been published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Atlas of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In residency, he completed rotations in Anesthesia, Cardiology, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, General Surgery, Intensive Care Unit, and Trauma Surgery among many other surgical specialties. Dr. Zachar was also trained extensively in dental extractions, dental and facial implants, trauma, orthognathic surgery as well as cosmetic facial surgery. Dr. Zachar is an Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support instructor. Dr. Zachar has attended numerous specialty courses throughout the United States to continue to improve his skills. Dr. Zachar served on active duty in the United States Air Force from 2007-to 2017. He was stationed at Sheppard, Lackland and the United States Air Force Academy. He was separated as the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Training Director at the United States Air Force Academy and Associate Professor of Oral Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). Dr. Zachar is a Board Certified (Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons) oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

In 1982, Dr. Hauschildt graduated from the University of Iowa. He has over 31 years of practice as a prosthodontist and has specialized in fixed restorative dentistry. Dr. Ted Hauschildt's years of experience assures that will provide the best work. Dr. Ted Hauschildt has served as Co-Director at Sands House TMJ Clinic and he is an active staff member at Presbyterian Hospital in Denver, CO.
