Jay Catignani - Founder

The founder of Property Tax Consultants, Jay Catignani, began his career in 1974 with the Tennessee Division of Property Assessments as an appraiser after receiving a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Memphis with a major in Real Estate. He also worked as an independent fee appraiser prior to joining the Davidson County Assessor's Office in 1981 where he served as Chief Commercial Appraiser for 13 years, before entering the private sector. Currently, he holds the Certified General Appraisal License - CG #943 - with the State of Tennessee, and is Registered Taxpayer Agent #0135 as regulated by the State Board of Equalization. He is one of the few registered agents that holds both of these designations with the State of Tennessee. He has testified as an expert witness in Chancery Court, both in Williamson and Davidson Counties. He was recently appointed to the State Board of Equalization Regulatory Panel that oversees the licensed Registered Property Taxpayer Agents statewide.

Libby Catignani

Libby Catignani has decided to follow in her father's footsteps. In 2013, she graduated from Western Kentucky University. While there, she completed numerous courses pertaining to real estate. Shortly after returning home, she took additional courses in real estate appraisal and went on to become one of the youngest Registered Tax Agents with the State Board of Equalization (#343).

Suzanne Hardeman

Ms. Hardeman has been an employee of Property Tax Consultants for 16 years, earning her designation as a Registered Taxpayer Agent with the State of Tennessee. She has experience working with all property types, and has extensive knowledge of the tax appeal process. Prior to joining Property Tax Consultants, Suzanne was a Personal Trust and Investment Officer for First American National Bank, having graduated from The Southern Trust School at Birmingham Southern University. While at First American, she managed personal trusts and estates, including trust real estate holdings. Ms. Hardeman grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and attended Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.
