RETIRED CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUE

The RCHL was founded eight years ago with a single goal: to offer safe, fun, competitive 50+ adult hockey to anyone desiring to play. Our league strives to provide a structure that's a combination of pickup hockey and competitive hockey. League hockey with referees is competitive, but it invites high sticks, tripping and flagrant play. Pickup hockey without referees reduces the high sticks, tripping and flagrant play, but it also reduces the competitive nature of the game. In the RCHL the players police themselves. Similar to pickup hockey, when a player falls on the ice, the game stops to ensure the fallen player is OK.
