Job Titles:
- Financial Sector Research Manager
With a background in university responsible investment campaigning, Abhijay joined the Financial Sector Research team at ShareAction in August 2021. Here, he works on surveys of asset managers and other financial institutions, contributing to ShareAction's efforts to foster positive change in the world. Outside work, you might find him working on his part-time degree, playing musical instruments, or running away from his problems a few kilometres at a time.
Passionate about doing something for the community utilising my skills and experience of the finance field. She has over five years of experience in fixed income and the money market with a successful finance team and have been working with non profit organisations for the past few years with my most recent experience being a finance officer. Aditi joined the team in November 2019 and lead ShareAction's financial transactions and produce the management accounts. When not working, she loves to watch cricket and movies.

As part of the Climate team Aidan looks at how companies and their investors are impacting the planet and what they can do to reach net-zero. Before joining ShareAction in March 2022 he spent two-and-a-half years as a researcher at a public policy think tank. Outside of work he likes (attempting to) cook, skateboarding and hiking on the UK's amazing national trails.

Alexandra joined the team in September 2023 and leads our biodiversity work. Alexandra is an environmental economist with experience in nature-related disclosures, finance for sustainable land use, financial supervision, and investment analysis. She has worked in NGOs, academia, and the private sector, consistently focusing on the financial markets' role in addressing nature loss and climate change. Prior to joining ShareAction, Alexandra has worked at Global Canopy, the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, Palladium International and KPMG.

Alexia Tye is a finance and sustainability specialist with a science-based orientation. Her senior career with Barclays, HSBC, BNP Paribas, Singaporean sovereign wealth fund GIC and Egis (Tikehau Capital group) spanned project finance, capital markets and portfolio investment management, notably in the energy, water, waste, transport and infrastructure sectors. She began specialising wholly in the climate and environmental sector in 2013 when she joined the Prince Albert I of Monaco Foundation (Oceanographic Institute) as CFO, Corporate Secretary and HR Director.
Alexia is currently a board director of Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UK), International Bureau for Children's Rights (Canada) and Pro Bono Lab (France), and previously of Suez Lyonnaise Asia Water (Jersey) and United Power Company (China).
Alexia graduated in mathematical science from Oxford University. Born in Singapore, Alexia has lived and worked in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and currently, Paris.
Alison joined the People team in September 2022 as a Senior HR Officer, after spending 5 years as an HR Administrator supporting the London Zoo and the Business Services directorates at the Zoological Society of London.
She has previously worked in the financial, software and health sectors, and has a particular interest in learning, organisational development and employee engagement.

Amy is a dedicated HR professional who is passionate about ensuring the right staff are in the right roles for the organisation. Since starting in ShareAction in 2014 Amy has been a key player in the improvement of the HR and Operations of the organisation. When not at work Amy can usually be found listening to music and playing Pokemon Go.

Bethany joined ShareAction in June 2020 as Company Engagement intern in the Workforce Disclosure Initiative (WDI) team and has since taken up the role of Senior Campaigns Officer in the Individuals team. Her work now involves co-ordinating AGM season; supporting ShareAction activists to ask questions at the AGMs of the world's largest companies in order to place global issues such as climate change, in-work poverty and biodiversity loss on the corporate agenda. Outside of life at ShareAction, Bethany spends her time getting involved in outdoor sports, being in nature, and discovering new music events and festivals.
Bramwell joined the team in November 2023 as UK Public Affairs Manager to lead our engagement with Parliamentarians.
Bramwell started his career in the Civil Service, first in government communications at the Cabinet Office and 10 Downing Street, then overseas at the British Embassy in Warsaw. He also has experience working in the NHS, education sector, and affordable finance.
Away from work, Bramwell can usually be found somewhere outdoors, often up a mountain (or climbing wall) or on the water. He also loves anything cultural, culinary or creative - though his skills lie more in the appreciation of art than its production!

Carl Liederman was appointed ShareAction's Chair of the Board of Trustees in August 2023.
Carl is a leading international corporate lawyer, executive, and the Founder and CEO of Liedership Advisory, a strategic advisory that operates on a trusted-advisor model. He has considerable experience in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, responsible investing, project management, launching and scaling businesses and organizations, building teams and coalitions, as well as consensus building, stakeholder engagement, impact assessment and reporting, compliance, and governance.
Caroline joined ShareAction in 2021 to advocate for EU regulations and policies conducive to a fairer and more sustainable financial system. Prior to joining ShareAction's Brussels team she worked as a political economy researcher in northern UK universities, and taught courses on politics, money and finance as well as feminist political economy. In her free time, Caroline enjoys dancing, theatre-making, listening to podcasts, drawing and creating zines.

Charlotte joined ShareAction in June 2019 with 8 years experience working in the charity sector and a background in customer service & facilities. Charlotte spent the last 4 years as Executive Assistant to four Directors of the largest female youth organisation in the UK, working across governance, operations, marketing & communications, property, finance, HR and support services.

Chris has spent over five years in the charity sector, focusing on social change and a better environment for disadvantaged communities. Chris is the Operations Support Officer at ShareAction. He handles user management, IT enquiries and supports the team in exploring new practices to improve ShareAction. In his free time, Chris enjoys reading novels, engaging in sports, and channelling his inner Jimi Hendrix on the guitar.

Claire joined ShareAction as UK Policy Manager in September 2023. Claire works on all UK policy areas with a particular focus on fiduciary duty. Claire has previously been involved in ShareAction's work through attending AGMs on behalf of ShareAction and co-filing shareholder resolutions.
Claire is an economist and a lawyer. She studied economics at university and joined the Policy & Economics team at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She then qualified as a lawyer and worked for the Competition and Regulatory team at FieldFisher. Claire has also been a charity trustee and a volunteer education advocate for children with SEN.
Outside of work Claire spends most of her time with her two young children but hopes to be able to do her first triathlon in 2024.

Claudia joined in 2022 as the Head of Financial Sector Research. This team produces key research outputs, including the annual Voting Matters report and benchmarks quantifying the ESG performance of Asset Managers, Insurers and Banks (working closely with the Banking Standards team). Before joining ShareAction, Claudia managed research teams focussing on biodiversity conservation and capacity building worldwide. She has also worked in academia and did her PhD on biodiversity management in oil palm landscapes. Outside of work, Claudia loves visiting new places and spends her time drawing, practising photography and attempting ambitious craft projects with her two children.
Dan joined ShareAction in December 2022 and leads our Good Work programme. Dan is particularly interested in the potential for progressive employment policy to improve the worker's lives. Prior to joining ShareAction, Dan led the Living Wage Foundation's ‘Living Hours' programme to tackle insecure work and underemployment. He also has experience at Joseph Rowntree Foundation and the Department for Work and Pensions. Outside of work, Dan's main interests are football, philosophy and economic justice (in that order).

Danielle joined the team in April 2022 and spends her time on research and surveys of asset managers and other financial institutions. After graduating with a degree in Chinese, she went on to roles in the civil service and in risk and due diligence. In her spare time, Danielle enjoys reading and writing fiction, gardening and martial arts.

Dilan joined ShareAction in August 2022, to help grow our UK & EU investor contact base, and to help maintain key relationships with current investors. Before moving to ShareaAction, Dilan was working at the Living Wage Foundation, focusing on the Global Living Wage project. In her free time, you can find her painting, she is also an avid reader and theatre enthusiast. Aside from her hobbies, she also rescues and fosters animals, she currently has three pets of her own.
Elaine joined ShareAction in March 2019 as part of the Operations team to support the organisation with general office admin. She has since moved on to the Fundraising team where she is focusing on supporting SA's fundraising efforts. Elaine cares about equality and inclusivity, and is passionate about mental health. If not at work, Elaine's probably getting bullied by her 5-year old nephew... or singing karaoke!
Elinor joined the Health team in November 2021, working on ShareAction's Long-term Investors for People's Health (LIPH) programme. She has been working in project management in the charity sector, both in the UK and internationally, for the last 5 years in different areas including earthquake reconstruction, housing and most recently, medical research. With a Masters in International Development, she has always wanted to use her skills to help improve the lives of others. In her free time, she can usually be found in a rowing boat or in the gym, training for the next race.

Elliot joined ShareAction in 2023, specialising in banks' environmental policies and international standards for sustainable finance. Prior to this, he served as a communications and sustainability strategy consultant, advising companies, development banks, and non-governmental organisations operating across Europe, Africa, and southeast Asia. Elliot holds an MPhil in Environmental Policy, producing research that quantified the mobilising effect of government and central bank policies on the flows of private green finance. When not working, Elliot can be found hiking, searching for new restaurants, or buried in an increasingly unmanageable collection of books.

Emily joined ShareAction in 2023 to help build the evidence base for our EU advocacy for a more sustainable financial system. Prior to joining ShareAction's EU Policy Team, she worked for a consulting firm advising companies on their sustainability engagements and partnerships, led external relationships and policy at Women Political Leaders, and worked with UN partners to advance the SDGs at the UN Foundation. Outside of work, she loves spending time with family and friends, especially her toddler son.

As a Senior Manager, Emma oversees investor engagement and campaign strategies in the Biodiversity Team, with the aim to promote positive outcomes for nature. Emma joined ShareAction in April 2023. She previously worked as a climate change L&D consultant for business leaders, at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development to improve decarbonising transport policies, and for renewable energy start ups in Europe and Asia. She has also enjoyed stints working in sustainable coffee production in Kenya, Guatemala and Brazil, which became the focus of her dissertation at the University of Cambridge. In her spare time, Emma enjoys gardening and swimming.

Emma joined ShareAction in February 2020 as an engagement manager, supporting the members of ShareAction's asset owner networks. Emma now leads our asset owner initiatives team, supporting ShareAction's work with charities, universities, and pension funds, alongside emerging work on private equity. Emma has spent her career working within responsible investment and the financial services sector. When not working, Emma is kept busy by two young children and enjoys long walks in the great outdoors.

Eve joined ShareAction in April 2022 to manage research for ShareAction's biodiversity programme. After briefly working in intelligence, she followed her heart to a career in sustainability and worked for two years in sustainable food systems. Fergus has extensive experience in public policy at UK and EU level, advocating for regulatory frameworks that help to create and maintain a sustainable and responsible investment system. He previously worked as Head of Public Policy for the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association and in Westminster for a range of MPs during the Coalition Government. Joining in November 2018, Fergus leads on all ShareAction's UK policy output and engagement with government and regulators.

Francesca joined ShareAction's Health team in June 2023 to lead the Responsible Investment Standards workstream. Most of her career has been spent working in financial services (close to 10 years), where she held a variety of positions largely focused on driving systemic and social change. More recently, Francesca followed her passion for nutritious food and sustainable health by undertaking an MSc in Nutrition for Global Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). Outside of work, Francesca loves escaping the hustle and bustle of London for walks in the countryside, keeping active by running and swimming, and spending quality family time with her husband and young son.
Gemma joined the team in September 2023 and works in the People team. Previously, Gemma has worked in a number of UK and international based charities across the HR and People functions. In Gemma's spare team, she enjoys singing in a community choir, volunteering as a Trustee with a local charity, cooking and spending time trying to keep her houseplants alive.

Hannah is the Investor Engagement Manager for our Good Work programme, facilitating engagement between companies and investors focused on Living Wage, insecure work and racial equity. Hannah joined ShareAction in June 2022, previously working in the health team. In her spare time, she can be found with her head in a book, brushing up on her Welsh language skills, or in a café with a large coffee in hand.

After 15 years of working in investment banking, Helen decided a change of focus was necessary. She joined the Climate Team in November 2019 and leads on our Investor Decarbonisation Initiative. When not at her desk, Helen will bore everyone senseless with her love of podcasts.

Holly leads the Consumer Health Campaign, a pillar of ShareAction's Long-term Investors for People's Health (LIPH) programme. Holly joined in July 22 from Action on Sugar which aims to get Government to commit to an evidenced-based obesity strategy that it is implemented effectively. Holly is a registered Nutritionist and has worked in several areas including as a Child Weight, Management Nutritionist and as a Nutritionist for Waitrose. Passionate about all things food, when not working you will find her exploring new restaurants and hanging out with the dog.
Hugh co-founded of Response Global Media, publisher of Responsible Investor and Responsible Company, and built it into a leading ESG and sustainable finance media and events company sold in July 2021. Over a career as a journalist and editor, Hugh has written extensively on ESG, investment, corporate and sustainability issues for international publications. He was Paris Correspondent and Fund Management Editor at Financial News. He was Political and Economic advisor to the Secretary General of Amnesty International. In 2020, he won the Outstanding Contribution to Institutional Journalism at the State Street Press Awards and in 2006 the Aon Journalist of the Year award.
Ian is a longstanding supporter and campaigner for ShareAction. With a degree in physics from Aston University, he spent the early part of his career in semiconductor manufacture and microelectronics. He then spent 34 years working in environmental regulation, working initially for local authorities and then the Environment Agency.
He spent 7 years as a member nominated trustee of the Environment Agency pension fund, where he helped craft award winning environmental policies. He spent 4 years as a fund member rep on the oversight board of the Brunel Pension Partnership, one of the LGPS investment pools. He is an active trade unionist, having spent 24 years as treasurer of his local branch in addition to elected national roles.

Kelly joined the team in October 2021 and works on campaigning for European banks to improve ESG standards and take meaningful action on climate change. Previously, Kelly started her career in sales and management for a global tech company before changing careers to campaigning whilst living in Australia. There she worked with grassroots groups on climate justice and social justice issues and lead a campaign against one of Australia's biggest banks. In Kelly's spare time she enjoys going to gigs and festivals, volunteering and playing football.

Maria joined ShareAction in November 2020 to lead our advocacy work on sustainable finance in the EU. Prior to ShareAction she worked at the European Parliament on international trade and human rights and at ActionAid, where she led the Policy and Campaigns team advocating for just transition and corporate accountability. Outside the office, you can find her cycling in the city or reading a book in one of Brussels finest coffee bars.

Simon leads ShareAction's work with companies to drive responsible business practices, across all of our campaign areas. He is passionate about the power of good work to deliver positive social impact. Prior to joining ShareAction in early 2020, Simon helped build the social responsibility function at McKinsey & Company, a global management consultancy. He has also served as a diplomat for the British government. Outside of work, Simon is a trustee of a central London homelessness charity, a keen runner and an experimental gardener.
