Specialized Housing Inc is committed to providing people with special needs, low and moderate income seniors and working families with serviced enriched affordable housing that's designed to meet their physical, social and psychological needs... We promote stable residential settings as a key first step to the wellbeing, health and dignity of all people... We are proud to have been a pioneer in the creation of affordable, fully accessible living environments with integrated services for 40 years. SHI has built ninety special needs buildings in twenty-eight counties around Oregon. Many were developed for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in connection with the Oregon Community Integration Program or "CIP" that allows people to live in their communities rather than in nursing homes or in state institutions. SHI also serves as the Managing General Partner of two family and senior affordable apartment buildings and owns seventy units of HUD 202 and 811 project based..
