Straw-Clay.org was founded by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals dedicated to "Light Straw-Clay" (LSC) material science and construction technology. Our mission is to increase the availability, affordability, buildability, reliability, and energy performance of structures built with unadulterated natural materials, including sustainably harvested straw, clay, and wood... Light Straw Clay is a modern natural building material system, updated from traditional techniques; it is energy efficient, naturally mold resistant, very healthy with a tiny ecological footprint, and it lasts for centuries. Working since the early 1990s, our team has become one of the world leaders in researching and building with light straw-clay.
