Dr. Piccioni works with all age groups, from newborns to the elderly. Dr. Piccioni has special interests in Preventive Medicine, Adolescent Medicine, In-office surgical procedures, and Family Planning.
Dr. Piccioni is an Osteopathic, board certified, family physician. He completed his undergraduate education, receiving a Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy, from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Piccioni practiced community and industrial pharmacy for many years. He later attended and graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine receiving a Doctor of Osteopathy degree. Dr. Piccioni then went on to complete his residency in Family Practice at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey. He became board certified in family practice in 1991 and has maintained this certification ever since.
When not at work, Dr. Piccioni enjoys fishing, water and snow skiing, cycling, swimming, gardening and spending time with his wife and family.
Dr. Michelle Paulsen is an Osteopathic, board certified, family physician. Dr. Paulsen is also Dr. Piccioni's eldest daughter. She graduated from Kempsville High School and completed her undergraduate degree receiving a Bachelors of Science in Biology from the College of William and Mary in 2001. Dr. Paulsen attended and graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, also the alma mater of Dr. Piccioni, receiving her Doctor of Osteopathy degree in 2005.
She completed her residency in Family Practice at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia. She was chief resident for the 2007-2008 training year.
Dr. Paulsen has strong interests in Gynecology, Sports Medicine, Adolescent Medicine, Family Planning, Preventive Medicine, and in office surgical procedures.
When not at work, Dr. Paulsen and her husband, Brendan, enjoy traveling, reading, anything related to the outdoors, and spending time with their three children.
