God has called us to connect people in loving Christian community. The church of Jesus Christ is foremost a community of people (1 Pt. 2:10). We are not a mere collection of individuals. Authentic community is an answer to a deep felt need in our society. We are meant to belong. We were not meant to be alone. We will gather to worship Jesus as a corporate body, but will also gather in homes, restaurants, coffee shops, and anywhere else community life happens. The Greek word for fellowship "koinonia" means to "participate with" (Acts 2:42). We were meant to have deep meaningful relationships with people with whom we share the joys and pains of life (Rom 12:15). We will share meals together, study scripture together, pray together, and reach out to the lost together... We are striving to be a church that worships God, reaches out to our community and tangibly displays the love of God to those around us!
