The Belgrade is a registered charity and receives revenue funding from Coventry City Council and Arts Council England as well as project funding from these and other government sources... Together, with the diverse communities across Coventry and the region, we aim to enrich and fundamentally change people's lives for the better through theatre... The Belgrade played a key role in securing Coventry as UK City of Culture 2021 and in 2019 Corey Campbell, Balisha Karra and Justine Themen were appointed as Co-Artistic Directors, with a remit to programme and direct the Theatre's produced work for UK City of Culture 2021.
