Most recently I worked in Gaston County at the Department of Exceptional Children as a Teacher for the Deaf. I am originally from South Florida and got my Bachelors degree in Deaf Education and Elementary Education from Flagler College in St. Augustine. I have a dual role here at CCS, I am a teacher and a parent of a student here. I am so excited to get the chance to work with the students here and help create a love of learning.

Amy Moore is the Assistant Director to CPCS. She previously served in Gaston County... Amy Moore is the Assistant Director to CCS. She previously served in Gaston County Schools. She received a degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State. She has her masters in Elementary Education and in Administration. Mrs. Moore has six children and has been married 27 years to her husband Mark. Mrs. Moore feels that "Every student can learn, just not the same day, or in the same way." As an educator, she believes that it is important to find the way each student can learn. Education is a lifelong process and we are making an investment in the lives of students. Mrs. Moore states, "As I am in the lifelong learning process and am investing in the students, I believe it is important to encourage students to find their purpose and help them fulfill that purpose, focusing on the core traditional American values."

Ms. High is a long-time resident of Dallas but spent her childhood years growing up in Stanley. She earned an Early Childhood Teaching Certificate and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Meredith College. She went on to earn a K-12 Counseling Certificate and a Master of Arts Degree in Education from Wake Forest University. Ms. High served 29 years in the NC Public School System as a school guidance counselor working primarily in Gaston County. She is a volunteer chaplain with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team as well as a volunteer with the NC Baptists on Mission Disaster Relief and Recovery Teams where she has served both domestically and overseas. Ms. High has served as a church pianist for over 37 years and has always stayed involved in church activities and programs. She is a member of the Major William Chronicle Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and remains active in other community organizations as well.

Eddie McGinnis is the Founder and current Board Chairman for Community Public Charter School. Mr. McGinnis has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lenoir-Rhyne College graduating with honors in History in 1976. He has a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from UNC-Charlotte and an Education Specialist Degree from Appalachian State University. For 30 years Mr. McGinnis served in various roles in Gaston County Schools retiring as principal of East Gaston High School in 2006. He currently serves as Senior Pastor of Community Pentecostal Center in Stanley, North Carolina. He has served in that role since March of 2000. Mr. McGinnis enjoys spending time with his family which includes his wife (Cecilia), daughter (Adrienne and husband Jason), son (Philip and wife Ashley), and 4 granddaughters (Madison, Morgan, Olivia and Maecyn). In founding the school, Mr. McGinnis believes that every child should be taught the values that this country was founded upon and that all students should have the opportunity to achieve the American Dream of a quality education that prepares them for success in the future.

I earned my masters in Literacy from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY. I married into a southern family in 2010, and welcomed two children in 2012 and 2015. My children began attending CCS in 2020. Freida Robinson joined the CPCS Board in the spring of 2020. She attended Stanley schools and is a graduate of Stanley High School and UNC-Greensboro with a BA in Early Childhood Education. During her 31-year tenure, she taught grades 3-5 in Gaston and Lincoln Counties. Since retiring in 2008, Freida enjoys traveling with her husband, Bill, and spending time with her family, Anna (Mason) and Will (Sarah), but especially her grandchildren - Aiden, Liam, and Lexi. I am married and have a wonderful son, who has attended CCS since its first year. I am so excited to part of this community. I have been teaching elementary school for 35 years. I retired from Gaston County Schools, where I taught at Belmont Central and Ida Rankin. I went to Lenior-Rhyne for my undergraduate degree. I have my masters from Grand Canyon University. I am National Board certified. I am so excited to learn about the curriculum and the community of CCS! On a personal note, I live in Mt. Holly. I have three boys, a daughter-in-law, and two dogs. My husband and I enjoy Gamecock games where my youngest son attends and listening to Army stories from his twin brother.
