We are the host and member of ASCENT (Applications and Systems-Driven Center for Energy-Efficient Integrated NanoTechnologies) - the nation's premier microelectronics research center funded by the Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). The center's mission is to provide breakthrough advances in semiconductors to continue device and system performance scaling. By virtue of this Center, the student researchers interact closely with DARPA program managers and consultants as well as technologists from companies like Intel, Micron, IBM, Samsung, TSMC, ARM, Applied Materials, EMD Performance Materials, SK Hynix, Analog Devices, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin and others... The Nanoelectronic Devices and Circuits Laboratory (NDCL) pursues its research goals through first principles atomistic modeling of nanomaterials, non-equilibrium transport simulation, nanofabrication and characterization of devices and circuit..
