Andrew Weekes

Andrew Weekes earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from SUNY Cortland in 2016. Mr. Weekes then attended Syracuse University College of Law, earning his Juris Doctorate in 2020. While at law school, Mr. Weekes served as a member of the Advocacy Honor Society and was elected a Class Senator for his graduating class. Mr. Weekes was also the winner of the annual 2018 Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC Alternative Dispute Resolution intra-school competition and served as the Social Chair for the Black Law Student Association. Mr. Weekes is admitted to practice in New York State and began his legal career as an Associate Attorney at Newman Law Associates PLLC. While working for Newman Law Associates PLLC, Mr. Weekes has gained extensive and valuable experience in Construction and Labor Law, Premises Liability, Auto Liability and myriad other related legal fields.

Greg. P. Bakos

Greg. P. Bakos graduated from Northeastern University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History in 2010. Mr. Bakos then attended New England Law Boston on a full academic scholarship, earning his Juris Doctorate in 2015. Mr. Bakos began his legal career as an associate attorney in a general practice law firm in Suffolk County, New York handling complex civil litigation covering different areas of law. As a former general practice associate, Mr. Bakos has civil litigation experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants, so he is able to effectively represent our clients with an understanding of both sides of litigation practice. Mr. Bakos has experience successfully advocating for clients through all stages of litigation from inception through trial. Mr. Bakos is admitted to practice in New York State and the United State District Court of the Eastern District. Mr. Bakos' pre-trial practice and legal writing skills at the pre-trial, trial and appellate level have enabled us to secure numerous favorable outcomes for our clients on a number of different complex civil litigation claims and dismissals.

Irwin D. Miller

Irwin Miller began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Bronx District Attorney's Office, where he participated in criminal trials, he prepared and argued appeals in the Appellate Division, First and Second Departments, and he presented cases to the Grand Jury. Thereafter, in 1981, Mr. Miller made the transition to Civil Practice and he has worked in the Insurance Defense field over the last forty years; he has successfully tried automobile and transportation defense cases, general liability, and premises liability, Labor Law cases, and products liability cases in both State and Federal Court. Mr. Miller has been the supervising partner in handling defense cases on behalf of Allstate Insurance Company, with whom he has maintained a twenty five year relationship. Mr. Miller has also defended cases involving the Hertz Corporation, American Transit Insurance Company, National Freight Inc., Mendon Leasing Corp., and a variety of insurance carriers and self-insured defendants. Mr. Miller's meticulous case preparation and his interaction with experts in the field of orthopedics, neurology, radiology, neuropsychology, and diagnostic radiology, as well as biomechanical experts, has resulted in numerous defense verdicts at trial, his negotiation of favorable settlements and winning summary judgments on behalf of his firm's clients.

Jason D. Warshaw

Mr. Warshaw handles complex civil litigation and trial matters for Newman Law Associates PLLC after nearly thirteen years as an Assistant Corporation Counsel and Senior Counsel with the New York City Law Department and nine years as a civil litigation trial attorney at another prestigious Manhattan insurance defense firm. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and New York Law School. Mr. Warshaw has experience in many aspects of civil tort litigation, including municipal liability, toxic torts, premises liability and highway design cases. He has extensive litigation experience including trial experience in the New York State Courts. Mr. Warshaw's work with the New York City Law Department included six years with its Special Litigation Unit where he defended numerous favorable settlements and verdicts. Additionally, he served as an instructor on trial advocacy skills within the New York City Law Department.

Jon E. Newman - CEO

Jon Newman is the Managing Partner of Newman Law Associates' litigation practice. Mr. Newman, a graduate of Syracuse University College of Law is AV-rated by Martindale Hubbell and has built a reputation as a top-flight trial attorney. Mr. Newman's Trial and Appellate practice focuses on Labor Law and construction injury litigation, insurance coverage disputes, general liability including premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, municipal law and medical malpractice. Mr. Newman's law practice defends owners, general contractors, construction managers and subcontractors in complex construction and New York State Labor Law injury litigation, coverage disputes and at trial. Mr. Newman serves as Counsel for a national broadcasting and entertainment corporation handling personal injury claims brought against it, and he also has extensive trial experience in complex premises liability defense litigation and in representing municipalities and rapid transit and commuter railroad clients. Moreover, he is experienced in defending doctors, hospitals, dentists, podiatrists and other health professionals in cases alleging malpractice and negligence. Mr. Newman has presented trial practice seminars and lectures for the New York City Corporation Counsel's Trial training program, and from 2007-2010, Mr. Newman presented his Labor Law Update seminar to the New York City Transit Authority's in-house attorneys. Over his legal career, he has also conducted numerous client seminars and in-house seminars covering issues including NYS Labor Law and construction litigation, coverage, trial practice, discovery, depositions, and legal/medical issues.
